NYPD hunt for man who sexually assaulted woman walking her dog in Brooklyn
BROOKLYN, NYC: A man sexually assaulted a 30-year-old woman on Saturday, July 30 morning while she walked her pet dog on a Brooklyn sidewalk, cops say. The New York Police Department has released CCTV footage from the crime scene. The man has not been identified yet.
In the video, the attacker could be seen approaching the victim from behind and choking her in an attempt to rape her. The incident happened at 8:30 am near Woodbine Street and Ridgewood Place in Bushwick. The attacker then tries to drag her to the sidewalk in front of a parked car. The woman's dog can be seen barking frantically as the man climbs on top of her.

According to the cops, the suspect continued to strangle the victim and assault her over her clothing before fleeing east on Woodbine Street. "This scumbag literally put her in a chokehold, pushed her to the ground, and nearly choked her unconscious," a police source told The New York Post on Sunday, July 31.
According to police, the victim initially refused medical attention but was later treated at the Interfaith Medical Center. The woman suffered a cut to her neck as well as bruising and swelling in both eyes, the cops added. The suspect was described as about 30 years old and black. According to the police, he has a height of 5’8″ and a medium build. Besides, he had his black hair in dreads, a mustache, and chin hair, police said.
The man fled after the attack and has not been arrested yet. He was last seen wearing a black ball cap with a rose design on the front and also had on a black t-shirt, shorts, and sneakers, according to authorities.
