Mike Tyson slams Boosie Badazz for transphobic remark on Dwyane Wade kid, a look at rapper's past controversies
Mike Tyson took rapper Boosie Badazz to task for the transphobic and homophobic comments he made about basketball player Dwyane Wade's transgender child, 12-year-old Zaya Wade. Tyson, dubbed the "Baddest Man on the Planet", pressed Boosie about why he objects to people living in their truths during his appearance on 'Hotboxin' With Mike Tyson'. Around 10 minutes into the interview, Tyson asks, "Why do you say things about people who might be a homosexual? Why do you say that about them? Do you feel there's a possibility that you're a homosexual and by disrespecting them it furthers yourself from being a homosexual? I'm thinking you may like homosexuals."
Boosie replies saying he's "as straight as an arrow", to which Tyson says that he isn't trying to call Boosie gay, but is confused as to why gay people tend to bother the rapper. "If you're straight then why do you offend people?" Tyson asks. Boosie then says that he was "offended" by Zaya Wade's transition because she's a child. Boosie says, "I really commented on the Dwyane Wade situation because I got offended because it's a child. That's really why I got offended." He goes on to say that sometimes he needs to just "shut the f**k up" and not put his foot in his mouth. "Who the f**k am I to say anything?"
A Twitter user posted the exchange between the two with the caption, "Y’all look how Mike Tyson got Boosie in the hot seat."

Past controversies
Following his comments about Zaya in February 2020, when he said "Don't cut his d**k off, bruh", Boosie posted a clarification video in which he complained about corporal punishment being illegal and children having too much power. Also, the same month, Boosie was asked by Planet Fitness' staff in Georgia to leave to leave the gym which the rapper claimed was due to his aforementioned comments. Later, a spokesperson for the company denied Boosie's claim and said that the rapper failed to comply with company policies and had harassed members of the staff.
In May 2020, Boosie came under fire for a now-deleted Instagram video in which he spoke positively of paying an adult woman to perform oral sex on his son and nephew, 12 and 13 years old, respectively. He also said he allowed his minor son to watch pornography as he felt pornography was more appropriate for children to watch than "cartoons with two men kissing". In 2017, in a birthday post aimed at his soon-to-be 14-year-old son, Boosie bragged that he secured his son a "bad bitch" to perform fellatio on him. The post was liked by 27,000 users. Later, after public backlash, he claimed he was joking.
