'90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way' stars Paul Staehle and Karine Martins split after being together for two years
Paul Staehle and Karine Martins have decided to head their separate ways after being married for two years. Karine confirmed the news to US Weekly as she stated that she is "looking for a lawyer". Karine and Paul have had their differences which the viewers got to see on '90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way'.
While being on the show there were countless times when the two decided to separate but thinking about their son, Pierre, made them stick together. However, it looks like the couple has finally decided to end their marriage. Before Karine confirmed the news, Paul had hinted about the separation on his Instagram stories. The reality star hinted that the divorce decision was initiated by Karine. In his stories, he mentioned that Karine had “started divorce proceedings”
He then shared a video of their son and spoke about missing him. He further shed light on their relationship as in another Instagram story he mentioned that he and Karine would be doing cameos together until midnight tonight" and added that he would not be undertaking any bookings for a while.
“I will probably go up [to] the Amazon to try to convince her to live with Pierre in [the] USA with or without me,” he wrote as he added that he "wants the best possible life for my son.” Before announcing their separation, Paul had revealed that their house in Brazil was robbed as he revealed that "everything of value" was stolen.
The split came as a surprise as the pair recently celebrated their second anniversary. Paul even took to Instagram to mark the occasion by sharing throwback pictures from their wedding along with the caption, "Happy 2-year anniversary @staehlekarine and our never-ending rollercoaster of a journey."
Karine, on the other hand, shared pictures from their Halloween celebration and hinted things were fine. However, their decision of separating makes us believe that there was more to story than what meets the eyes.
