'I miss her so much': '90 Day Fiance' star Kim Menzies pens heartfelt note for her late mother on Christmas
SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA: Kim Menzies, star of '90 Day Fiance,' is still mourning the death of her mother, Sally, who died when she was returning from Nigeria after becoming engaged to Usman "Sojaboy" Umar. Kim Menzies' mother died in January 2022. Kim offered a poignant homage to her mother on the occasion of her first Christmas without her.
Kim, a 52-year-old from San Diego, became Usman's fangirl after seeing him in Season 4 of '90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days,' and DM'ed him to start a relationship, which turned her from fangirl to fiance. Usman and Kim appeared in Season 5 of 'Before the 90 Days' in January 2022, when fans learned of Sally's death. Kim had been her mother's primary carer for eight years, in addition to her job as a restaurant manager.

Kim's mother suffered from rheumatoid arthritis in her hips, making it difficult for her to walk. Sally appeared in both 'Before the 90 Days' and '90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?' Season seven. In episode 14, Kim discussed how she had returned home six weeks after her engagement to organize her wedding, Usman's immigration, and his second wife. But, two or three weeks after '90 Day Fiance' star Kim arrived in America, her mother became ill and died. Kim posted an Instagram photo of herself with her mother and the '90 Day Fiance' cast. "This episode is dedicated to my mom," Kim posted on Instagram. She said, Sally, adored the team and treated them as if they were family. "She was a beautiful lady and I miss her every day," Kim added.
Kim offered a heartfelt tribute to her mother on the occasion of her first Christmas without her. She posted a note on her Instagram stories the day after Christmas, saying, "Hi Everyone! We had a GREAT Christmas ! I was sad today missing my mom, but I knew she would want me to have fun. That's the kind of mom she was. She always wanted me to be happy. I miss her so much. She was a part of all of my Christmas festivities today and I just want to say I love you Mommy...more than any words can say."
Kim recently shared a tattoo she received as a homage to her late mother, Sally. Kim posted a snapshot of the tattoo on her Instagram story, thanking both her tattoo artist and the artist who designed the tattoo. The tattoo itself is a giant red balloon with the word "mommy" inscribed in cursive in place of the balloon string. Kim also said that the tattoo was a wonderful tribute to her mother, and she used a balloon emoji to indicate that the balloon itself had particular significance.
'90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?' Season 7 'Tell All: No Limits' Part 1 will premiere on Sunday, January 1, 2023, at 8 pm ET. One day after the television premiere, viewers will be able to watch the episode on TLC Go and Discovery Plus.
