NEW DELHI, INDIA: In the most recent episode of '90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?', Jenny Slatten and Sumit Singh's families have a heated encounter which results in some unpleasant revelations. Jenny's intentions to go to the United States with Sumit shocked not only his family but also the viewers who believe Sumit does not want to relocate.

When Jenny and Sumit's family members sit down for a discussion in the December 4 episode of '90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?', Christina is the first one to speak. Christina agrees that Sumit loves his family "very much" but she wants them to adore Jenny the same way. Christina further adds that the purpose of the gathering is for Sumit's family to meet them. She wishes Sumit's family will open their "hearts a little bit more to the relationship and the love and the happiness that you see." Christina continues, "I just would like for you to maybe just open a little bit of your heart."

Shree, Amit's wife, confesses that Sumit's mother finds their relationship "difficult." Christina claims that it's been ten years. It's time for Sumit's mother to come around. Jenny will not be leaving. After Sumit's father declares that he and the rest of the family would never accept the relationship, Jenny issues an ultimatum. "I’m never gonna be accepted. I don’t want to take him away from his family, but I think maybe it’s better if we go ahead and live in America then. And then maybe we won’t be upsetting the family so much," she says, adding, "We won’t be seen together, I guess."

Sumit keeps silent throughout. He offers no support to Jenny. "I’m shocked Jenny brought up moving to America to my family. I’m scared that, how they gonna feel and how they are gonna react," Sumit reveals in his confessional. When Sumit's family asks Jenny and Sumit if they are truly intending to relocate to America, Jenny instantly responds, "Yeah, we are." Sumit continues to avoid Jenny and his family.

Seeing how unresponsive Sumit was in the entire conversation, a fan slammed him, "Good for you Jenny speak up because your husband Sumit has no backbone." Another fan tweeted, "Either accept me or I'm taking Sumit to America. Goodluck with that threat Jenny."

Looking at Sumit's unwillingness to move, a fan wrote, "If Sumit hasn’t seen his family since he told them he’s married to Jenny then why not move to USA? It’s not like he sees them when they’re in the same area code."

Pointing out how the two families' cultural difference is the root of the problem, a fan tweeted, "Jenny daughter is pleading her case to Papa Sumit. Good words were said but going to fall on deaf ears. Culture is a hell of a drug and NOT likely to change their minds. They care more of the opinions of strangers than their own son."

Some fans also didn't appreciate the way Jenny came across during the conversation as one said, "Anyone else get Colonizer vibes from the statement, “leave me no choice but to take Sumit to America “ ? Like she owns him."

Fans are convinced that Sumit won't leave his parents as one said, "Why does Jenny keep saying she will take Sumit to America like he is a child. HE IS NOT LEAVING THE PARENTS!"

One fan gave Jenny a hypothesis, "Now Jenny had the roles been reversed with her daughter married to someone who took her away from you. You’d feel some type of way. Stop with the bulls**t." Calling both Sumit and Jenny a disaster, a fan wrote, "Jenny is plotting to take Sumit to America secretly while he’s secretly plotting to get a child . These 2 are a disaster."
