DELHI, INDIA: Sumit's biggest fear has become a reality. Sumit eventually told his parents he married his lifelong love, Jenny, on the premiere of the new season of '90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?,' and his mother, who detests Jenny owing to her 30-year age gap with her son, utterly abandoned him. Jenny now feels Sumit is shunning her while he pursues his mother in the hopes of reconciling.

Sumit's parents, Anil and Sahna, had long been against Sumit's relationship with Jenny, whom he met online after originally catfishing her with photographs of another man. Despite this, the pair continued and married on the finale episode of '90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way,' which aired in November. Sumit, on the other hand, did not notify his parents and declined the opportunity to tell them at that season's Tell-All. Jenny proposed last week that Sumit just not inform his parents that he was married, but Sumit expressed concern that his parents might feel deceived if they found out through someone else.

Sumit then revealed to Jenny that he had brought his folks over the next day to give them the great news. Jenny was understandably outraged, given her previous negative encounters with his family. "I know it's hard for Jenny to understand, but I cannot keep this from my parents, because they are the only people who love me along with Jenny unconditionally," Sumit told the cameras. "Whatever I do, it's possible that I might lose them, but I have to tell them."

However, the encounter was acrimonious from the outset, with Sumit's mother abusing Jenny and condemning her in India in front of Sumit's younger brother and sister-in-law. Sumit nervously remained mute in front of his family, so Jenny eventually addressed their concerns. She inquired as to what transpired after she looked to have reached an agreement with Sumit's parents a few months earlier when they informed her they loved her and would not oppose their marriage. Jenny stated that she never saw them again after that and was perplexed as to why. But Sumit's mother pulled back the comments, claiming she never uttered them, despite Sumit's insistence.

"If you think that we will be happy if you get married, that won't ever happen," Sahna warned her son flatly. "You will never get married. Not even on my deathbed would I say that you can marry her." At that time, Sumit finally admitted to her that he had married Jenny without informing her parents. Sahna asked him not to show his face again and burst into tears as her family advised her to calm down and speak calmly. "If you're ever at my door, I will insult you and throw you out," she said. "Never again."

Sumit raced after his parents after they left, begging for forgiveness and urging them to accept the newlyweds. Jenny felt betrayed at this time because she fears he may abandon her to appease his family. When Sumit wants to talk about what happened, Jenny reminds him that she warned him it would be a bad idea to tell his parents about their marriage. She wonders why Sumit thinks she doesn't need to be comforted and be OK with everything. Sumit tells her she is overreacting when she claims it is not acceptable for her to remain silent while being abused by his family.

Sumit tells his parents that everything went precisely as Jenny expected, "a disaster." Things get heated as Jenny believes that now that she is married to Sumit, his loyalty should be towards her, whilst Sumit believes that he is always made to pamper her whenever she is upset. Things get violent for a brief moment, but the couple keeps it to yelling at one other's faces. Jenny claims Sumit doesn't care about her, as he attempts to persuade her otherwise. Sumit attempts to calm Jenny down, and thanks her for her help during this difficult moment, but he also wonders if he should be treated unfairly by her.

Sumit confesses in a confessional that he needs Jenny's help more than ever now that his mother has disowned him. He needs to know that she will be there for him because he sacrificed his family for the lady he loves, but instead, she is yelling at him. Sumit thinks it is unacceptable.

Slamming Sumit's mom for cursing her own son, fans write: "Sumit’s mother is pure evil. To disown him for marrying Jenny and then tell him he will pay for it in his next life? No b—ch, YOU will pay for your treatment of your son in this life AND your next. Shame on you! #90DayFiance #90DayFianceHappilyEverAfter." Commenting on the power dynamic of the women in Sumit's life, another fan wrote: "Sumit and Jenny's situation is a tough one IMO. I don't think Jenny should stay because I feel like she controls Sumit, but I also don't want the mom to have the power to decide who her son marries. #90DayFiance #90DayFianceHappilyEverAfter." Labelling Sumit a "manchild," a fan wrote: "Sumit admitting he’s a man child is the only truth he has ever told on this show… #90DayFiance #90DayFianceHappilyEverAfter." Wondering why the couple won't just move to America given his family is the only thing that is keeping the couple from being happy, a fan tweeted: "It really really REALLY bugs me that Sumit and Jenny don’t just come to America. They’re clearly happy together and his family is just making him feel SO BAD all the time. Be happy! #90dayfiance #90DayFianceHappilyEverAfter #tlc@tlc @90DayFiance @90daythoughts11."

On the other hand, some fans sympathized with Sumit as he is now disowned by his family: "Sumit family just cut him off because of her and she's questioning why he isn't there with her all because her dumb ass can't speak the language and making up stories in her head while they speak #90DayFiance #90DayFianceHappilyEverAfter." One fan commenting on how they shouldn't have gotten married, tweeted: "Jenny should have never married Sumit. 1st..being much older she can't provide him with a family life, 2nd being 30 yr older is too much and 3rd seeing what it can and did to his family is enough to put the brakes on. #90DayFianceHappilyEverAfter." Another person dragging Jenny for the situation, wrote: "Jenny absolutely losing her shit like all the time. Like damn girl can Sumit get a moment his family just disowned him #90DayFianceHappilyEverAfter and you worried about translation." Frustrated with Sumit and Jenny's storyline another fan wrote: "Wtf is left to say abt Jenny & Sumit? Years of the same b.s. w his family hating Jenny. OK we know. Sumits mother will Never change. Sumit will Never change. It's up to Jenny how to decide what she will put up with but I'm sick of them. #90DayFiance #90DayFianceHappilyEverAfter."
