'90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way': Sumit finalizes his divorce and plans to marry Jenny, but will his family agree?
Sumit Singh and Jenny Slaten have been dating each other for more than five years and it looks like he is ready to take the next step in their relationship. The pair met each other on social media. While Jenny had made plans of marrying Sumit, things took a different turn when she found out he was already married.
Sumit appeared during the tell-all and revealed he had never wanted to get married but was forced to tie the knot because of his family. Jenny decided to trust him and give another chance. In the upcoming episode (November 1), the preview hinted that Sumit had finally got his divorce.
Sumit and Jenny were worried about the financial problems they would have to face due to the divorce. His ex-wife had asked for $500 every month, along with an initial $20,000 payment. Luckily, the court ruled in favor of Sumit and stated he would not have to make any payment.
While Sumit was happy about closing one chapter, he seemed ready to start another. Jenny had been eagerly waiting to tie the knot with Sumit. However, his divorce was holding him back. She tried to give him a ring that he refused to wear because he was not legally divorced. Luckily, that did not take him long enough. Sumit revealed he was finally a free man once his divorce was finalized.
While he had plans of marrying Jenny and starting a new life, he made it clear it would be possible if his parents gave him their blessing. Sumit's parents have been vocal about their thoughts on Jenny and his marriage. They did not like the age-gap between them and were of the view that Jenny lied to them.
Jenny had stayed with Sumit's family when she had come to India. They thought she was there as a guest and did not think she was in a relationship with their son. Despite this, Sumit decided to talk to his father, Anil. Sumit made it clear he won't betray Jenny and would tie the knot with her.
However, Anil asked Sumit to think things through while shedding light on how age would play a big role. Will Sumit listen to his heart or his family?
