TLC‘s '7 Little Johnstons' needs no introduction. We've known the family of 7 for 10 seasons now, and it's no surprise why the show has a loyal fanbase. Having said that, during one of the show's episodes, Amber Johnston shared some worrying news on the skin cancer front.

The news obviously left her devastated, and considering the many moles Amber has on her face, viewers were constantly wondering if the news was true. She did confirm the same on one of the episodes on the TLC reality show, saying she's at a higher risk of getting skin cancer.

The confirmation came right after she underwent a series of tests for the moles on her back. Based on the results, the doctors told Amber that the moles were “not full-blown melanoma” but also “not benign,” according to Reality Tidbit. Since then, the spot has been surgically removed. So is she in the clear now? Read on to find out.

In a sneak peek clip of a new episode with Pop Culture, Amber's husband Trent had enquired about an appointment with a dermatologist. According to her doctor, Amber was asked to go back for a skin check-up after a biopsy of “late cells,” which further made him believe that a second spot could be the start of a new problem. This is when Trent told Amber to have the spot removed because it kept changing, which in turn kept bothering him.

In addition, Amber also explained on camera that her skin cancer won't go away quickly or get any better.

In February 2021, Amber took to Instagram with the caption, “My #skincancerisrealcancer,” which was more than enough to confirm a diagnosis, although she didn’t officially confirm it at the time.

We're hoping to get more clarity on Amber's diagnosis during the new season, as well as updates on her cancer status.

What's more, Amber has already had a series of surgeries on her back and spine over the years. She further explained that surgery of any kind comes hand in hand with dwarfism.

Amber also went through a massive transformation with weight loss, leaving fans to wonder whether she had bariatric surgery. However, she shut down all rumors saying she has been on a strict diet and exercise plan, coupled with a healthier lifestyle.

All in all, it sure seems like Amber is taking good care of herself. Here's hoping she stays the same cheerful person she is, come what may.

Stay tuned for the Season 11 premiere of '7 Little Johnstons' on March 15, 2022, at 9 pm ET, only on TLC.
