Six cows found mysteriously dead in Texas with tongues 'completely removed' and 'no blood spilled'
MADISON COUNTY, TEXAS: Texas authorities were left utterly bewildered after they found six dead cattle with their tongues “completely removed” and no sign of blood spilled. The Madison County Sheriff’s office said on Wednesday, April 19, that ranchers found a 6-year-old longhorn-cross cow lying on her side, deceased and mutilated, along a state highway in east-central Texas.
According to the sheriff’s office, the animal’s tongue had been “completely removed from the body with no blood spill” after a “straight, clean cut, with apparent precision” had been made to remove the hide around the cow’s mouth on one side. Officials said it was unlikely the cow struggled during the incident, as the grass around the animal was undisturbed. No footprints or tire tracks were either found in the area. Ranchers also said no predators or birds were trying to scavenge the remains of the cow which decayed untouched for several weeks.

There had been five similar occurrences
Authorities discovered there had been five other similar occurrences along the same state highway while investigating the longhorn-cross’ perplexing death, located in Brazos County and Robertson County. Four adult cows and one yearling were reported dead by similar occurrences, lying on one side with the exposed side of their face cut along the jaw line. The sheriff’s office said that all five also had their tongues “completely removed."
'A circular cut was made'
Authorities discovered that “a circular cut was made removing the anus and the external genitalia" on two of the five cows. The cut had been made with “the same precision” as the cuts along the cow’s jaws. There were also no signs of disturbances in the grass, no blood spilled, and no noticeable tracks in the area in later discoveries. No predators or birds were seen scavenging the remains for several weeks after death. The cause of death of all six cows remains unknown. Madison County officials are working with other agencies to try and solve the incident.
Similar incidents have occurred across the country
Dozens of cattle were slaughtered this fall in Colorado by an elusive predator that left behind no tracks. 18 dead cows were found just outside the town of Meeker last October. Some looked as though they were killed by wolves, but officials with Colorado Parks and Wildlife found no wolf tracks or evidence of the predator in the area.
'Extraterrestrials did it'
Twitter users also reacted to the incident. One user tweeted, "Very familiar with this case; flies was what we determined. Simple as that. Flies and other insects eat the soft tissue, if they check the back end of the cow they will find similar soft tissue gone. Also sinus and eye lids and lips." Another wrote, "While this explanation is very sound for a normal decomposition process, i still wonder about the cases where a for example a cow would be fine on day 1, and few moments or 1 day later it would be completely mutilated with surgical precision, drained blood, some organs removed. With these cases i wonder, could "natural decomposition" occur so fast?" One tweeted, ""The cause of death for the six animals was unknown" That tells you everything. Nothing scientific was done here. No reported necropsy by a trained veterinary forensic pathologist. No analysis. No data. Just stories." One user wrote, "What more do you want, this is a classic chupacabra kill, accept it and move on. They normally only make multiple kills like this when a yeti is competing with them for the same food supply!" while another tweeted, "Extraterrestrials did it. they are biological androids (avatars). they take samples of animals so they can clone them for other worlds. they also use the dna to mix animals to create new races."
