50 Cent explains why he blocked fans from commenting on his Insta posts, drops surprise new music video

The rapper said he was tired of the fake accounts and bots and urged fans to follow him on Twitter. He also surprised them with a music video for 2015's collaborative track 'Tryna F**k Me Over' with Post Malone

Rapper 50 Cent aka Curtis Jackson has a reputation for being thick-skinned and having a famous sense of humor.

After all, he survived being shot at nine times and keeps posting hilarious memes on his social media pages, much to the joy and entertainment of his millions of fans, who keep posting thousands of comments on his posts every day.

A good recent example of Fiddy's legendary funny bone is when he posted a photoshopped picture of rapper Ja Rule, depicting him as a homeless person who only wanted to battle with 50 Cent for attention.

However, soon after that viral post, the hip-hop legend announced that he was disabling the comments feature on his Instagram after getting sick of the numerous fake accounts and bots that were spamming him into oblivion and wasting his time.

The 'In Da Club' rapper only recently revealed to his 25 million-plus followers on the social media platform that he was turning off his comments. Barely 24 hours ago, he had posted a hilarious photoshopped picture of himself on Instagram that showed what 50 Cent would look like if he had rapper Post Malone's infamous face tattoos.

However, while his fans were wildly entertained by it and found it hilarious, it was Fiddy's caption that seemed like he was no longer taking things lightly. It read: "Y'all trying to f**k me over, Y’all all tryin to f**k me over. I'm turning my comments off - there's too many fake pages - follow me on Twitter."

It was, however, also a reference to 50 Cent and Post Malone's song of the same name. The duo collaborated on the smash hit in 2015, and there's now a brand new music video out! you can check it out below:

He later explained his actions in another Instagram post, that showed him getting fitted for a bespoke tuxedo. The 'Animal Ambition' singer revealed, "If you are disappointed you can't comment on my post sorry. I’m tired of deleting bots - too many fake pages."

The solitary fan comment that managed to make it to that post was encouraging, however: "Good for you, Curtis, I was wondering why there are no comments."

That single comment had 230 likes itself, so there's no doubt that understanding fans are willing to take 50 Cent's abrupt change of mood in stride. Let's hope he sees the funny side of things and lets us back into the comments section in the near future! The lulz won't be nearly as fun without all that crazy banter.
