Nowadays, we frequently encounter films that are devoid of morals but overflowing with offensive language or violence. On our streaming services, there is so much to watch. However, not all of them are appropriate for children.

Some are classics like 'Lion King' that have stood the test of time and remained favorites for decades, while some are new favorites like 'Moana' that are following current trends. Here are the five best inspirational movies you should watch with your children and give them life lessons.

'The Lion King'

'The Lion King' portrayed the realities of life—love, loss, and learning—through the lens of the pride of lions. After watching, who else couldn't stop humming Hakuna Matata for weeks? 'The Lion King' was so much more than just Simba and his friends singing along.

'The Lion King' demonstrates the importance of learning from the past and the fact that growth can be scary and teaches us the ability to forgive ourselves for our mistakes, the things we can't change, and to look forward with pride at how far we've come on our journey and how much more there is to learn and experience in the world.

'How to Train Your Dragon?'

Hiccup is a rebel in a Norse village where battling mythical dragons is a lifestyle. Despite being thrown into a dragon-fighting school by his father, yet because of his progressive mindset, he becomes friends with Toothless, an injured dragon.

This movie shows that we should let our children be themselves, not who the world or we want them to be. This is a challenging issue for all parents out there but it is so important to embrace their individuality.

'Frozen'

With two female protagonists and a kingdom ruled by women, 'Frozen' is a feminist tale. 'Frozen' shows young girls that they do not need a man to save the day, in fact, the girl can save the day. And it's not necessary to find true love only in a boy, you can find true love in your family, from your sisters. This movie teaches us that family comes first. Anna prioritized her sister's life over her own and it's always good to give back.

'Moana'

This movie teaches us that “Go get your dreams, no matter how hard they seem”. 'Moana' shows us the significance of leaning on your instinct and following your heart. 'Moana' continually finds herself torn between the desires of her heart and the expectations of her family.

'Beauty and the Beast'

Belle is attracted to a cold-hearted beast who was set enthralled by a magician. The spell can only be broken if the beast learns to love and is loved by Belle in return. We are shown an unlikely love story between 'Beauty and the Beast,' in which a beautiful woman falls in love with an intimidating beast. This film shows the significance of perceiving the inward magnificence within each one of us. Look beyond what you see. It’s what’s inside that matters, not what’s outside.
