'21 Jump Street' actor Richard Grieco stopped from boarding flight, arrested for public intoxication at Dallas airport
'21 Jump Street' actor Richard Grieco was not allowed to fly from Texas to Pennsylvania on Thursday after he had too much to drink before the scheduled flight.
Law enforcement officials told TMZ that cops were sent to Grieco's gate at Fort Worth International Airport on December 5, Thursday, by an agent who denied him boarding.
According to reports, Grieco was hunched over the counter, yelling at employees, slurring his speech, and reeked of alcohol.
Cops say that they tried talking to Grieco and he admitted to drinking two cranberry vodkas before the flight. He was then taken into custody for public intoxication and officers report that he was very unsteady on his feet when they brought him in.
According to the arrest report, Grieco had the prescription drug Klonopin in his bag. Grieco claimed he took it as he was a 'nervous flier'.
The cops added that the pills should not be taken with alcohol. It is said not to be a safe idea to mix a benzodiazepine drug like Klonopin with alcohol, as the combination can result in decreased mental and motor function.
The airline booked another flight for Grieco on Friday, December 6 morning.
Grieco told TMZ that the incident was unfortunate and not such a big deal.
