WEATHERFORD, TEXAS: A 12-year-old high school student who killed her father as part of a pre-arranged murder pact she and a buddy established was declared dead after shooting herself in the head.
On September 22, two days after shooting her 38-year-old father in the stomach at their home in Weatherford, Texas, the 12-year-old child killed herself. According to officials, the father was later discharged from the hospital and is anticipated to fully recover. Police have revealed that the 12-year-old girl from Lufkin and her female companion spent weeks planning to murder their families and pets before leaving for Georgia. The Weatherford girl ultimately shot her father before turning the pistol on herself in the street. Officers found her with a revolver laying beneath her and her cause of death was determined to be suicide. A murder conspiracy complaint has been filed against the other 12-year-old girl who has been detained.

The 12-year-old girl child engaged in the gunshot incident in northwest Parker County on September 20, 2022, eventually died from her injuries two days later, according to a spokeswoman for the Parker County Sheriff's Office. “The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office performed an autopsy and ruled the cause and manner of death as a suicide by gunshot wound of the head. Her father, who was the victim of a gunshot wound to the abdomen was recently released from the hospital and is expected to recover. The second 12-year-old female from Lufkin, who Sheriff’s investigators believe was involved with the planning of the shooting, was taken into custody last week and has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder,” she told Daily Mail.
About 30 miles west of Fort Worth, at about 11.30 pm on September 20, police were called to the complaint of a gunshot. The father and his daughter were both flown to the hospital where the 12-year-old was eventually declared dead. She intended to travel 230 miles to Lufkin to pick up her companion before the two of them planned their escape. The girls' motivation for wanting to escape and kill their families is yet unknown. “It doesn't matter if they live in a small town or a big city. Things like this can happen, unfortunately,” Lufkin Communications Director, Jessica Pebsworth, told Daily Mail. “I will say that this case is definitely a time to remind parents that it's very important to know who your children are friends with, whether that's in the classroom, social media apps, Snapchat, TikTok and then also gaming platforms.” In order to protect the children, police stated they are keeping the girls' identities private due to their young age along with the injured father's name.
