How much '1000-lb Best Friends' cast members get paid?

Being on reality TV consumes a lot of one's time. The streaming platform films every small detail of your life, including both ups and downs. In order to get every ounce of one's life filmed, the cast members charge something to the platform. This payment differs on the TRP of the show, how famous the particular cast members are, and how good a review the show is receiving. According to the reports, the payment of a newbie in TLC's '1000-lb Best Friends' ranges from $1,500 to $3,000 per episode.

This payment slot could go up from $7,000 to $10,000 with the continuity of the show. If the show crosses three air, the payment of each member is bound to increase. Moreover, the salary also depends on how much screen time a particular person is given and how much content a particular person is providing. In the second season, the pay is usually increased because renewal proves that show has been a success.

Originally, '1000-lb Best Friends' is not a show where cast members' focus is on bariatric surgery. Therefore, they do not get paid anything for surgery or housing. Instead, '1000-lb Best Friends' is like any other reality show but this centers around the life problems of four fat and fun ladies.

'1000-lb Best Friends' Season 2 is set to release on January 4, 2023, at 10 pm ET/PT on TLC.
