What is Prince Harry's full name? 'Harry & Meghan' documentary sparks questions

LOS GATOS, CALIFORNIA: 'Harry & Meghan' series released on Thursday, December 8. The release of the series has led to confusion over the original name of Prince Harry. Though the first three episodes of the series were released, the next set of episodes (episode 4- episode 6) will be released on Thursday, December 15. 

According to the metro.co, Prince Harry's real name is Henry Charles Albert David. He has jokingly raised concerns about his name when addressing a group of children at the Well Child awards ceremony this year.

He said, "My name is Henry, but everyone calls me Harry. I have no idea why." Meanwhile, Harry doesn't have a surname traditionally as he has stepped down from royal duties he will be able to use the Royal family surname – Mountbatten Windsor. In 2018, When Harry married Meghan they were titled Duke and Duchess of Sussex. He also holds the titles of Earl of Dumbarton and Baron Kilkeel. When the royal duo decided to step down from the royal duties, it was decided that they would no longer hold titles such as His/Her Royal Highness before their names.

The trailer of the series was well-discussed by the viewers. In the trailer, Harry can be seen saying, “There’s a hierarchy in the family. You know, there’s leaking, but there’s also planting of stories.” He ends the trailer by saying, “No one knows the full truth. We know the full truth," reported CNN. Meanwhile, in the first set of episodes, Harry detailed their decision to quit from royal duties and how Meghan struggled in the initial days of marriage. Harry stated, “I accept that there will be people around the world who fundamentally disagree with what I’ve done and how I’ve done it,” in the series. He also detailed their initial period of romance and how media spoiled the childhood days of the Duke of Sussex and the death of his mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, reported CNN.



 

He explained in the series, “No one knows that full truth. We know the full truth, the institution knows the full truth, and the media knows the full truth because they’ve been in on it." He said he considers it his “duty” to “uncover this exploitation and bribery that happens within our media.” Further, he added, “But I knew that I had to do everything I could to protect my family, especially after what happened to my mum,” Meanwhile, Meghan claimed that their first interview in 2017 after the duo's engagement was an “orchestrated reality show,” as it was “rehearsed.”

Harry claimed, “As far as a lot of the family were concerned, everything that she was being put through, they had been put through as well. So it was almost like a rite of passage. My wife had to go through that, so why should your girlfriend be treated any differently? Why should you get special treatment? Why should she be protected? I said the difference here is the race element." Later, Meghan added, “My face was everywhere, my life was everywhere, tabloids had taken over everything." Harry further claimed, "So much of what Meghan is and how she is is so similar to my mum … She has the same confidence, she has this warmth about her,” he said in the first episode.
