Recently, Swift sat down for an interview with The Guardian, where she revealed how she is taking steps to maintain boundaries between her personal and professional life. “I’ve learned that if I do [talk about the relationship], people think it’s up for discussion, and our relationship isn’t up for discussion," the American singer and songwriter elaborated.
She further added, “If you and I were having a glass of wine right now, we’d be talking about it – but it’s just that it goes out into the world. That’s where the boundary is, and that’s where my life has become manageable. I want to keep it feeling manageable.”
While Taylor made her side crystal clear, Alwyn came out to explain his side and said, “It’s not really [because I] wanted to be guarded and private, it’s more a response to something else.” The actor further said, “We live in a culture that is so increasingly intrusive…The more you give – and frankly, even if you don’t give it – something will be taken.”
After rocking the Billboard charts, Swift is having a gala time in her personal life and we can guess Alwyn’s love is the reason behind it. Another possible reason behind her happiness can be this newly-learnt art of keeping her relationships off-limits to the public. Unlike her past romances, this one has been elusive. Rumors of Swift and Alwyn’s relationship became more solid when the fans got to know about them attending a Kings of Leon show together. The rumors got confirmed when a source told The Sun that the couple had been together for several months, and that their friends and families were in on it. “This isn’t a new couple alert or a secret relationship - the only people this has been a secret to is the media because all of us, Taylor and Joe’s closest friends and their families, were aware they have been together for several months and have known each other for a long time."
