'The Flash' star Ezra Miller is having a rather torrid time in Hawaii. Miller was arrested for a second time on the island state on April 19, 2022. At the time of reporting, he has been released pending further investigation. The arrest comes after another violent outburst from Miller, this time at the home of a woman he injured.

The incident occurred the same day Miller plead no contest to a charge of disorderly conduct, stemming from his March 27, 2022 arrest. As we reported, Miller ripped a microphone out of a women's hand and then lunged at a man at a karaoke bar. The outbursts are just part of a long series of incidents the actor has been involved in. Miller's record has also earned the ire of fans, who have since demanded he be replaced by Grant Gustin in upcoming DC movies.

While Warner Brothers have since chosen to stop all projects Miller was involved in, he still remains employed through other projects like 'Daliland'. It has infuriated many social media users, who have compared his treatment to that of Johnny Depp, who was effectively canceled due to allegations by Amber Heard that are yet to be proven.

Why was Miller arrested again?

According to the Hawaii Police Department, Miller was at the home of a woman on April 19, 2022, when he reportedly became "irate after being asked to leave." He then threw a chair at the 26-year-old woman, which resulted in "an approximate half-inch cut." The incident occurred at the woman's residence in the district of Puna, near the town of Pāhoa.

He was then arrested following a traffic stop, and charged with second-degree assault. Miller was subsequently released pending further investigation. Later that afternoon, he appeared virtually in a Hilo courtroom and plead no contest to his disorderly conduct charge, which resulted in a $500 fine. The actor appears to have a long string of issues while in Hawaii and has reportedly been the source of 10 calls to the police in Hilo since March 7.

Amongst those calls was one by a couple on March 28, claiming Miller burst into their bedroom, threatened them, and then stole some of their belongings including a passport and wallet. On April 13, the case was dismissed by a judge at the request of the couple. The news has cast a major shadow over 'The Flash', DC's upcoming superhero film headlined by Miller which is due to release in June 2023.

'Absolutely wild that Ezra Miller is still in major roles'

Social media users were quick to point out the hypocrisy of Miller still having a career amidst these arrests. "Every single week Ezra Miller gets arrested, and yet they somehow still have a career. Let this have happened to a different actor & they would have been blacklisted or all of their current projects would have been halted. It’s baffling at this point," one user commented. Another joked, "Ezra Miller saw that Amber Heard is outranking him as the worst person in Warner brothers and he thought," adding a "not on my watch" image. A third mourned, "it's absolutely wild that ezra miller is still in major roles in DC and Harry Potter despite regularly assaulting people, but johnny depp has been fired from multiple roles because he was abused."

One person joked, "You are more likely to get assaulted by Ezra Miller in Hawaii than eaten by a shark." Another tweeted, "This is tragic. #EzraMiller is having a mental breakdown and it’s getting very very serious. We need a system that helps people like this instead of let’s them flounder and circle the drain until it’s maybe too late." One person noted, "There’s a racial element to people wanting Will Smith’s career destroyed for a slap and wanting Ezra Miller to get help after multiple violent assaults."
