NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Drew Barrymore is dating again after staying single for six long years. On Thursday, December 1, in a conversation with Whoopi Goldberg in 'The Drew Barrymore Show', Barrymore confessed that she's finally back into dating again after discovering she's grown a little too comfortable being alone herself after her divorce from Will Kopelman in 2016.

"The last time you were here, we both were single. You weren't dating. Are you dating now?," Barrymore asked Goldberg, before admitting, "I am." Barrymore added, "Because it had been so many years, I started to get a little worried, like, I'm too good at being alone."

Then, Barrymore asked Goldberg, 67, if she would consider getting back on the dating scene, to which she replied, "For good, no," providing some advice for Barrymore. "Maybe a hit-and-run is a better way to go, for now, until you say to yourself, 'Now I really want someone to just be part of this,'" Goldberg said. "Right now, that may not be what you're looking for, which is probably why you're doing fine," she added.

In October episode of her talk show she opened up about her personal life by revealing that she abstained sex after divorcing with her former husband Kopleman. The couple shares two daughters, Olive, 10 and Frankie, 8. The 'Never Been Kissed' star further revealed in a blog post on intimacy after one of her fan reportedly claimed that "she hates sex."

"So for the record, I do not hate sex!" she wrote. "I have just finally come to the epiphany that love and sex are simply not the same thing I searched my whole life for…" Barrymore expressed. She went on to say, "Also, when you grow up and are in a marriage with kids, and you think you’ll only be with this one person for the rest of your life and then that doesn’t happen? It rocked me to my core, to put it lightly. But I am lucky enough to have my cup runneth over in the love department: I have my two daughters, and for the first time ever in my life, I’m actually including self-love, too."

In recent years, Barrymore has mostly remained single, except for a few "occasional" dates. In an interview with Queer Eye's Bobby Berk earlier this year, the actress discussed on  her dating struggles. "I'm not there yet," she said at the time. "I have two young girls and, like, I don't want to bring people home. ... I think it would take me a very long time to meet someone and get to know them before I could even ever introduce them to my daughters," Barrymore added.

However she acknowledged that she had made efforts to re-enter the dating world, mentioning that she had been using a dating app last year even though she had trouble connecting with anyone. "It makes me feel like such a loser and then you are like 'it is hard out there,' " she said. "It is hard out there for everybody. It is hard in person. It is hard on dating apps. It is vulnerable, but you keep trying, Barrymore added.

The actress also went on a blind date with her match, Clarke Thorell, on The Howard Stern Show in October and got candid about what experience has taught her saying, "None of the gentlemen, including yourself, have kids," Barrymore said. "I have only dated, in the last few years, men who don't have children. I want it clean, I don't want to engage. I don't think anyone's meeting my kids, I don't know if this is going anywhere. I realized something yesterday, Clarke, which is I might live on planet parent," she further stated.

Even though the star is open to dating again, she emphasized on that she won't be willing to be married again, "There's no reason to be [married]," she said. "I would maybe live with someone again, maybe, but I've had kids and there's no way, I will never, ever, ever, get married again," Barrymore said sternly.
