CHICAGO, ILLINOIS: Episode 7 of 'Dark Matter', streaming on Apple TV+, has left fans in bewildered, as they speculate what might happen next.

It not only suggests that Jason Dessen (Joel Edgerton) has finally landed in his original reality and prepares for a violent confrontation, but also leaves fans wondering the fate of Amanda Lucas (Alice Braga) who abruptly parted ways with him.

What happens to Amanda Lucas in 'Dark Matter' Episode 7?

As Jason Dessen repeatedly fails in his multiverse adventures, Amanda decides to take charge. She opens the door to a stunning world where nature and technology coexist harmoniously.

She investigates about her alternate self and finds out that Amanda of this reality went missing two years ago.

Seizing this opportunity, Amanda of Reality 2 chooses to stay in this beautiful and technologically advanced world, leaving Jason 1 alone in his adventures.

In 'Dark Matter' Episode 6, Jason 2 took Ryan Holder (Jimmi Simpson) to an alternate Chicago where northern lights illuminated the sky.

In order to prevent Ryan from exposing him, Jason 2 abandoned him in this gorgeous reality and went back to Reality 1.

When Amanda comes to a reality where she eventually decides to stay, we can't help but notice the skyline matching the reality where Ryan was abandoned, though it's highly unlikely that two people would imagine the exact same world.

Also, it's a one-in-a-million chance for Amanda and Ryan to end up in the same universe, considering the infinite realities.

However, the creators may have brought these two characters together to advance the narrative or set the stage for another season.

Fans speculate danger for Amanda Lucas in 'Dark Matter'

In all the realities Jason and Amanda explored, things rarely went well for Amanda. She was dead in most of them, except for one where she was seen with her husband and son.

Even in this reality, Amanda disappeared two years ago under mysterious circumstances. This has led fans to speculate that Amanda might be in danger in this seemingly perfect world, as it might be too good to be true.

A fan took to Reddit and wrote, "Amanda knows that the version of her "disappeared" two years prior. This hints at something sinister. She could have gone into hiding as someone may have been trying to kill her. Or someone successfully killed the Amanda of that world and hid the crime. Also, there could be some crazy twist to the utopia world and perhaps the society reduces population by randomly removing people."

Another suspicious fan commented, "This seems like a mystery. An all sunshine and rainbows world where technology and logic works for humanity’s benefit seems like HUGE gift without it being underwritten by something sinister to uphold it. I really like the suggestion someone gave about randomly removing people from the population. Thanos style lol."

Someone speculated, "I wouldn't be surprised if a creepy version of Jason turned up and stalked her at her work place like Jason2 did, leaving the possibility of something unfortunate happening. This is just my head cannon."

"It could be sinister or she could have gone into a box of her own or just went missing like people do in our reality," reads another comment.

Well, it would be interesting to see if Blake Crouch, creator of the series, would bring Amanda and Ryan back to the narrative or if they would be lost in parallel worlds forever.
