PASADENA, CALIFORNIA: During their audition for 'America's Got Talent' Season 19, Inkabee and Flewnt played their co-written song 'We Dat Good'. According to Flewnt, the father and son decide all the musical selections together.

"It's a full collaboration."

As they began the first line, the judges sat back in amazement. Soon, the entire audience was dancing, including Sofía Vergara, who flung her hands in the air and danced to the music.

"Wait, Inkabee, they saying an 11-year-old shouldn’t be doing what you doing," rapped Flewnt. "You know, let’s just show ‘em, my boy."

This was Inkabee's signal to deliver an epic solo rap, which was a highlight of the concert.

As they ended with the lyric 'We Dat Good', the audience erupted in a standing ovation, and Simon Cowell agreed, "You are that good."

"I think you are going to be the face of so many things because you’re so cool," he stated to Inkabee, later adding, "If I were Nike, I would sign that kid up, like, now."

For the time being, the modest rappers were content simply to advance to the next round of the tournament. When Terry Crews approached them backstage, Inkabee revealed, "I was feeling super nervous, but when I got up there, it just all went away."

Who are Flewnt and Inkabee in 'AGT' Season 19?

Rapping comes easily to 11-year-old Inkabee; there's no doubting his genuine calling. He has been singing with his award-winning musician father, Flewnt, since the age of seven, and the lovely Australian duo electrified the stage with an original song on Season 19 of 'AGT'.

"Now the best music I make is because my son is by my side," said Flewnt, actual name is Josh Eggington.

"Hip hop brought us all the way here," he said to Simon before beginning their performance. "We do songs together as father and son, and we bond over music."

Flewnt welcomed Inkabee at the age of 16, and being a young parent helped the father and son connect. "Having him young, growing up with him. It’s been incredible," remarked the pleased father.

The popular Perth rapper introduced Inkabee to the music world with his December 2022 single, 'Beat the Odds', which the two co-wrote and produced together. They frequently combine sentiments of optimism and action into their lyrics, which clearly appeal to audiences.

A video of Inkabee's stage debut went viral, and the preteen has already received two West Australian Music Awards nominations. The father and son are also proud of their First Nations origins as Noongar Wongi tribe members.

"My name was given to me by my grandpa," Inkabee told the judges. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have a long history in Australia.

The two just completed a tour with the 2024 Perth Festival, which honored First Nations music and culture throughout Western Australia.

"It was wonderful; they kind of went crazy. They also started chanting my name," Inkabee told ABC News Australia.
