GRENADA, CARIBBEAN: 'Below Deck' Season 11's Bosun Jared Woodin was fired in the recent episode over an altercation after getting drunk on the boat. Amid his firing, Ben Willoughby was handed over the position of Bosun in the show.

Acknowledging and Praising the opportunity he got, Ben took to Instagram to claim, "...It’s time. First Indigenous Australian head of department @belowdeckbravo." He added, "I wouldn’t have been able to hold my tongue much longer. I was ready to walk off."

He went on to claim that yachting is a kind of industry where one "can’t wait for someone to perform better at their job, especially if you know your skillset can lead a department to success." Ben claimed that Jared "wasn’t right for the position onboard" as he had a lot more on his mind. Ben said, "I’m glad he now gets to take care of that now."

"Being in a position of responsibility means you have to understand leadership. Understand how your team works, understand their strengths and weaknesses, build those team members up, encourage them to go further than they thought possible," added Ben about his new responsibilities amid Jared' firing.

Slightly calling out Jared, Ben claimed having responsibility on the boat " Lead from the front and not use a position of authority over anyone. It’s a skillset that is learnt through years of communication and listening, unfortunately too many people in a position of authority don’t understand that." He then politely asked, "Jared it’s time to step aside mate."
