Has Marienne really died?
Well, it certainly looks like that Marienne (Tati Gabrielle) is dead. He burns all the letters that she wrote while in the cage before taking her out of the cage and putting her on a bench in a park. Is she really dead? Well, it certainly seems like it.
The secret of Rhys Montrose’ death is OUT
After whatever has happened with Joe in the last 48 hours, Joe has returned to the university and started teaching kids. The class was running smoothly until the time one of the students get a notification on her phone that Rhys Montrose (Ed Speleers) has died and his dead body has been found in the woods. Joe seems to look really distressed with the news and sees that Nadia is not present in her chair.
He dismisses the class and starts figuring out what to do.
Meanwhile, Nadia takes her boyfriend to the basement where Marienne was caged. As soon as they reach there, the entire setup has been demolished and there is nothing there now. Nadia believes that Joe entered there and killed Marienne. Her boyfriend seems to be asking all the right questions at the time because he asks her why did she never call the Police? Nadia knew that Joe is still at large and they need to kill him if they need to stop this madness.
Is Joe getting ready for the endgame?
Kate and Joe meet after everything that has happened in recent times. Kate tells her that Adam has died and her dad is behind his killing. He wants Kate to come to the US and handle the entire company. Kate also makes him understand that everything she has done so far has been because of her father and he owns her. Joe calms her down and makes her realize that she is much better than her father and no one can take away from what she has earned in her life.
But he soon realizes that he needs to neutralize Tom Lockwood as well. He takes away Kate’s phone and messages Tom that they need to meet at a workshop where Kate met him earlier. Joe was there and wanted to kill him but Tom turned around in order to talk to him. Joe was looking really nervous because the DNA that the authorities found on Rhys’ body was of Joe. Tom made him understand that the news of DNA was spread by him and that was done to control the news cycle. He made it clear that nothing bad will happen to Joe and his PA named Cynthia is handling everything.
Joe tells Tom that he was promised that he would take care of him (Joe) if he kills Rhys for him. Tom feels Joe is going crazy and is going to call Cynthia, but he wasn’t able to find his phone and Joe took the chance of doing what he wanted to. He made Tom unconscious and tied him to a chair. When Tom opens his eyes, Joe tells him how much he hurts his daughter by saying things that are really mean. He tells Joe that Kate is not what he seems to think and also hurts people whenever she wants to. He also makes it clear that if Joe wants to save Kate from herself, then he can definitely try. Tom’s bodyguard comes to the workshop and sees his boss in that situation, but before he could do anything he was stabbed in the neck by Joe. Tom knew that he was going to die so he tried to bribe Joe by saying that he could give him a new life by erasing everything that he has done in his life. But Joe is in no mood to listen and finally kills Tom.
What happens to Joe and the made-up version of Rhys?
After burying Tom’s body, Joe heads to a bridge that is under maintenance. He walks up to the middle of the bridge and thinks of jumping off of the bridge to kill himself. Rhys tries making him understand that he can’t do that because he can do a lot of things if he’s alive. He receives a call from Kate and even when Rhys says to pick the call up, he refuses to do so and throws his phone into the river. Rhys tells Joe that Kate and he have a future, but Joe believes that they don’t because he knows that he would end up killing Kate. Rhys makes him understand that he always wanted to help Joe and do things that would make him happy. But Joe realizes that it always ends up with him killing someone.
He hugged Rhys tightly and threw him over the bridge to end all of it. Joe didn’t waste any time jumping in the water and when he was drowning, he understood that he made a big mistake and wanted to be alive for Kate and help her. But he was unable to come up and drowned.
How did Nadia help Marienne?
Well, she met Marienne and gave her the medicine that she took when Joe met her. The messages that Joe sent to Beatrice were actually being sent to Nadia’s number and she made him paranoid about the situation with Marienne’s daughter. She also gave him some medicine that will block the heartbeat for a while and that’s why she told her boyfriend to bring Ketamine for her. When she sipped the coffee, she mixed the medicine and drank it, and gave the illusion that she has died. When Joe left her in the park, Nadia was present there, she gave Marienne a shot of Ketamine and revived her. So, MARIENNE IS NOT DEAD.
Have we seen the end of Joe Goldberg?
It’s still 50-50. In the end, Joe is saved by the coast guard and ends up in the hospital. Kate comes in and has a word with her. She tells him about his father and says that he was killed for money. Joe tells her things about his past and also tells her that his real name is Joe Goldberg. They promise each other that they are in this together and they will keep each other good.
Meanwhile, Nadia has broken into Joe’s house to get some solid evidence and found a box with everything related to Rhys Montrose. She got the photos of everything and as soon as she went outside, she was unable to find her boyfriend. To her horror, Joe was standing behind him and got to know what she was doing in his house. He deleted all the photos and told her that he wouldn’t hurt her. As it turns out, Joe has already killed Eddie and told Nadia that everything will be fine if she keeps quiet. She did exactly the same and had to go to jail for that.
Meanwhile, Joe has now started a new life with Kate, who has taken over her father’s company. He is back to his previous haircut and looks. The beard is gone and he is here to help Kate in helping and changing the world.
What happened to Phoebe and others?
Phoebe left for Thailand and started teaching English. She was way happier than before and was leading a great life. Meanwhile, all the others, including Roald, returned to Sundry House.
Will the show return for Season 5? Well, it's yet to be seen. But it seems Joe's story still has something left.
