LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Last week’s episode of ‘Yellowjackets’ was filled with jaw-dropping moments and made everyone uncomfortable with some really gory visuals. The latest episode of ‘Yellowjackets’ Season 2 didn’t feature jaw-dropping revelations like the first two episodes, but it’s packed with moments that would make you realize why this show is so successful.  After eating their friend, it’s now time for the gang to think about how they move forward. The most interesting part of this week’s episode is that it doesn’t dive into cannibalism, and the gang is still not able to think properly as to what just happened.

Lottie (Courtney Eaton) continues to be the most interesting part of the show and her person in Season 2 just keeps on getting more and more intense. She was a haunting figure in the first edition, but Lottie has become much more complex this time around. It’s been 13 episodes now and we actually don’t know who the antagonist is. Lottie is the closest we see to an antagonist, but the funny thing is that her intentions don’t seem to indicate that she wants to hurt someone intentionally.

'Yellowjackets' Season 2 Premiere Review: Slow, but a deeply satisfying start to a terrifying chapter

'Yellowjackets' Season 2 Episode 1: Who felt ecstatic after eating Jackie's severed ear?

Shauna's 'bizarre' baby shower is uncomfortable to watch

Also, after watching the episode, we realized what “the most bizarre baby shower” would look like. In one of the most terrifying scenes, the gang decided to give Shauna (Sophie Nélisse) a baby shower. Nat and Crystal perform a monologue that talks about a dead child. To be honest, that’s not a good way to make someone realize that you are pregnant. But things get even worse when Lottie gives Shauna a blanket with the “cult symbol” on it. Shauna gets really nervous and suddenly suffers a nosebleed and as soon as the blood touches the symbol, a flock of dead birds just falls on the cottage. This has to be one of the most well-crafted scenes in the show’s history.

Meanwhile, in the present timeline, Misty (Christina Ricci) continues to be a force to be reckoned with and has finally met someone who is a fellow citizen investigator. His name is Walter (Elijah Wood) and his chemistry with Misty is undoubtedly a treat to watch. It will be interesting to see what his intentions are and what he brings to the table.

Is it worth watching?

All in all, the third episode, ‘Digestif’, continues to take the show in the right direction with intriguing and unsettling moments. If the season continues to deliver like this, Season 2 might turn out to be better than the first edition.

'Yellowjackets' Season 2 returns with new episode every Sunday on Showtime and is available for streaming on Showtime's web platform and app every Friday.
