Why was rapper Yella Beezy arrested again?
Rapper Yella Beezy’s warrant was issued over “bond held insufficient”, as reported by Complex. It simply means the judge in the case decided that the rapper's previous bail was not enough. Beezy’s current bond is set at $1 million. In November 2021, the 30-year-old rapper was charged with felony sexual assault, felony abandoned endangered child and misdemeanor unlawful carrying a weapon. He was later released on a $57,500 bond.
A few days later, an unnamed woman claimed that she was raped by Yella Beezy giving a new twist to the case. According to Complex, he then hopped on Instagram to defend himself saying, “Y'all just gotta stop playing on my name. I was arrested on false allegations. I was arrested before I was even questioned and I knew about anything [that] was going on, but it's false allegations” adding, “Everybody that knows me knows I'm not pressed over sex or anything of that nature. I ain't no aggressive person. That don't even fit me, at all...my character. Me and that same thing doesn't even belong in the same sentence. It doesn't even sound right coming out of my mouth."
