'Y: The Last Man' Episode 3 Spoilers: Survivors take key decisions for greater good
The chaos has already started on the FX show ‘Y: The Last Man’ and it seems it’s only going to escalate from here. In the first two episodes, we saw beings with Y chromosomes instantly dying after a weird and tragic catastrophic event. The entire world is in utter chaos as more than half of the population has been wiped out from the face of the earth.
Meanwhile, the US now has a new president in the form of Jennifer Brown (Diane Lane), who’s trying to make things better. Shockingly, her son is the only man with Y chromosomes to have survived the apocalypse. He has been brought back to her mom, but people believe that it is the US government that has triggered the catastrophe. Most of the third episode was about keeping Yorick (Ben Schnetzer) out of everyone’s sight. The other main aspect of the episode was about the other survivors, the females.

Nora (Marin Ireland), who previously used to work with the former President, is continuously trying to get inside the White House to seek refuge and help the President. However, she, along with her daughter, is not allowed to get inside. The duo has taken refuge in a house with some people, but it’s now time to take some important decisions. The supplies are less and people won’t be able to survive if the numbers continue to grow.
They side-line Nora and her daughter as others leave for a better place. On the other hand, Jennifer has to make an important to decide to send Yorick to one of the leading geneticists and find out how her son survived the horrifying event. Yorick is adamant that he doesn’t want to go, but Agent 355 (Ashley Romans) believes if they need to have some breakthrough in this event, then now’s the time. Because if people find out about him, then they’ll barge in and think that Jennifer has done all this on purpose.
The last man surviving doesn’t want to leave his mom and Jennifer doesn’t want him to go away either. But some important decisions were needed to take if they want to know what actually happened with him. We see a really emotional scene between Jennifer and Yorick as they say goodbye to each other.
The episode ends with Nora digging up graves to bury her husband and her son as they return to their original home. The whole premise of the episode was how many sacrifices people are ready to make in making things right. Yorick has said yes to the research even when he just wanted to find Beth, her girlfriend. Jennifer, who believed her son was also dead, met him for a day and is once again sending him away so that things could get better.
Elsewhere, Nora is doing everything for her daughter and she doesn’t want her family members just lying on the ground and become food for crows. An emotional episode that makes the show interesting.
