KEMMERER, WYOMING: A grief-stricken mother of a five-year-old girl, who was reportedly murdered by her babysitter over the weekend, has attacked the woman in a series of heartwrenching Facebook posts.
Kayla Kartchner, 27, brutally blasted Cheri Lynn Marler, who has been charged with first-degree murder and two counts of child abuse. The 51-year-old woman was arrested on Sunday, November 27, after five-year-old Annabelle was found on the brink of death in her care. Police said that they responded to a residence in the town of Kemmerer on Friday, November 25, around 3.40 pm when they received a report of an unresponsive child, as per The Sun.

Upon their arrival, the officers found the little girl on the couch with bruises, cuts and burn scars, according to Cowboy State Daily. When they asked Marler what happened, she revealed the girl fell from stairs but officers said her story did not match Annabelle’s injuries. The girl was immediately rushed to a children’s hospital in Utah, where she succumbed to her injuries on Saturday, November 26.
The grieving mother posted that Saturday was the worst day of her life. “My boyfriend and I are so beyond broken right now this is the worst day of our lives,” Kartchner wrote in a post “Our baby girl didn’t deserve any of this done to her." In another post, she wrote, “I have absolutely no idea how to do any of this but if you would like to donate to help for our beautiful baby girl this is my cash app and the funds will be going straight to our baby's funeral and the services and her cremation. $KaylaKartchner please share as much as possible and whatever you can donate will help please our baby girl didn't deserve any of this done to her”
“I am the mother of the baby girl this b**ch killed and for what f**kin reason b**ch what the f**k was your f**kin reason for killing our precious most sweetest baby princess. I hope you get what you deserve in prison I hope they make you there b**ch and you suffer as mine and my boyfriends sweet little princess did and she died in my arms at primary children's hospital and you f**kin lied saying she fell down the stairs. B**ch i otta push your old decrepit ass down the stairs shake the f**k out of you” she continued.
Kartchner has even set up a fundraising page to raise money for her little girl’s funeral. "Annabelle lost her life at only 5 years old to the hands of abuse from her babysitter," the description said, adding, "Her mama was at work when she got this devastating call."
Authorities are yet to reveal the cause of her death. A police press read, "At approximately 3.38 pm on November 25th 2022, officers with the Kemmerer Police Department responded to a residence in Kemmerer for a call of an unresponsive five-year-old female child. Upon arrival to the residence, Sargeant Jake Walker located the child unresponsive laying on the couch in the living room. Injuries to the child did not appear to be consistent with the story that was told to officers on scene which prompted a criminal investigation."
Marler is being held without bond and is scheduled to appear in court on December 2, SVINews reported.
