LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Undoubtedly, mothers are superheroes. However, a woman claims to have developed a "superpower" ever since she gave birth. The woman claimed on a Reddit thread that she gets to know when her child is going to fall ill, 24 hours prior. Many other women agreed to the claims and said that they have also experienced something similar since their child's birth.

In a Reddit thread, a woman wrote, "Mine is that I've learned how to stop myself from sneezing. This is very useful when I'm trying to get my toddler to sleep and I feel a sneeze coming, which would totally jolt her awake. I somehow just will it to go away by taking one, slow, deep breath. Now if only I could stop my damn knees from cracking when I'm trying to silently exit her room. What's your strange parent superpower?"

Many women replied on the thread. One said, "I can smell certain illnesses, mostly fevers. Not stomach bugs, unfortunately, til they've made themselves known in the traditional way, but if my kid is gonna have a fever, I can usually get 24 hours lead time by how he smells." Another one agreed with her and said, "Omg me too! I even took my son to the dr recently like ma’am he is sick and she is like no he is perfectly fine. By the time we got home he was already running a high fever, ended up super sick. At first my husband would pull out the thermometer but now whenever I say you are warm or our kid is feeling warm it’s like he just heard the Harry Potter prophecy out loud lol he knows doom is coming."

Further, a woman added, "This is very validating for me because I can also smell fevers with mine! My husband just smiles and nods at me like I walk around with a tinfoil hat on so I'm really glad I'm not alone." Talking about her 'super smell power' one said, "I have this same superpower, I can smell when kiddo is going to come down with a cold or fever. I can also smell poop at like 100 yards, so it's kind of super smell power in general.
