LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNA: 'Bodkin' is streaming on Netflix from May 9, 2024. The series is created by Jez Scharf and it features Will Forte, Siobhán Cullen, and Robyn Cara in leading roles.

The seven-episode long series follows the journey of podcasters Gilbert (Will Forte) and Emmy (Robyn Cara) as they collaborate with investigative journalist Dove (Siobhán Cullen) to solve a mystery in the fictitious town of Bodkin. The mystery is the disappearance of three people 21 years ago.

As the season ends, the mystery is solved but it has impacted Gilbert deeply as he leaves the profession of true crime podcasting. Emmy takes up a job as an investigative journalist and Dove becomes a podcaster. So, is there a second season happening for 'Bodkin'? Here is all we know.

Unfortunately, there is no information yet about 'Bodkin' Season 2 from Netflix or from the producers of the show regarding the renewal of the series for a second season.

A second season is also unlikely because the series is titled over a fictitious town and the mysteries of the town have been solved by our protagonists. Furthermore, the protagonist Gilbert has given up on being a podcaster.

However, the decision to renew the series will depend on the reception of the series. If the series is received very well and gets high streaming numbers, Netflix could renew the series for a second season.

What could be the plot of 'Bodkin' Season 2?

In the last episode of 'Bodkin', the safety of the town's citizens and Gilbert is in jeopardy because of Seamus (@Netflix)

The second season of 'Bodkin' could explore another mystery in the beautiful town of Bodkin. As we saw in the first episode, the town hides many secrets in its closet and there could be another mystery waiting to be solved.

The second season could also explore the life of Dove as a podcaster. Throughout Season 1, she is against the concept of true-crime podcasts but in the final shot of the season, we see her taking up podcasting duties.

Gilbert has given up on podcasting but maybe it is what he is meant to do and he realizes that later and comes back to get to the depths of another mystery.

The season could also see Emmy reunite with Dove and Gilbert and it would be interesting to see her as an investigative journalist now after being an assistant to the podcaster.
