Why did Daisy Kent turn down ‘The Bachelorette’? ‘Bachelor Nation’ star to make guest appearance on ABC show
SEATTLE, WASHINGTON: Viewers can look forward to seeing Daisy Kent, the runner-up from Joey Graziadei's Season 28 of 'The Bachelor', in the next episode of 'The Bachelorette' Season 21.
Reality Steve has revealed that in the next episode of the ABC dating show, the group will return to the US for Hometowns and will visit Seattle, Washington. Marcus Shoberg will have a second one-on-one date inspired by the musical 'Wicked', which will include appearances by former contestants Kelsey Anderson, Daisy Kent, Trista Sutter, and Charity Lawson.
For the unversed, Daisy was offered the role of 'The Bachelorette' but she declined in order to prioritize her health. The role was then given to her fellow season 28 castmate, Jenn Tran.
While making an appearance on Nick Viall's podcast 'The Viall Files', Daisy cited multiple reasons for her decision to not become the lead on the show.
"There's a few reasons. So one, my health is an aspect of it. I knew as the lead, it's a lot on you—like not only emotionally but also physically, too," Daisy revealed.
The 25-year-old with Meniere's disease and Lyme disease has talked openly about her health struggles, discussing her concerns about lack of sleep and the emotional toll of sending contestants home on the show. She sought advice from former Bachelorettes before deciding that participating in the show would be overwhelming from a health perspective.
"I talked to a lot of past leads when it was in talks with me. I just knew from the health point it would be a lot," Daisy added.
