'Big Brother 28' Week 5 spoilers: Who won Power of Veto? Red Corner in trouble for the first time in the game

Lala nominated Chuk, Haley, and Barrett for eviction, but everything could change with the all-important Power of Veto

Week 5 of 'Big Brother 28' started with a bang. For the first time, a non-toolshed member had the power, adding to the excitement. Lala is currently the 'Head of Household' after emerging as the victor in the epic wall competition. Initially, she had her sights set on Rick Devens, and then Haley. Her original intention was to backdoor the latter. After a last-minute pitch, Lala decided against it and put her directly on the block. She nominated Haley, Chuk, and Barrett after Kamu saved himself by throwing Chuk under the bus. Now all eyes were on the all-important 'Power of Veto' competition. This is the first time two members of Red Corner are on the block together. Since the dominating alliance is now in shambles, anything is possible.

Chuk was blindsided by his nomination, as Lala previously promised him safety. Lala told him that he was too attached to Haley for her to ignore. He was kept in the dark about Kamu's betrayal as well. Haley immediately understood she was the intended target. However, she still wanted to keep the nominations the same, even if she won the veto. The telemedicine executive believed she could survive the block, but Kamu wouldn't. Later, it seemed she changed her mind. Elsewhere, the trio, including Kamu, Haley, and Chuk, mended things. However, there were still some lingering doubts about the vote. As per Julie's announcement last Thursday, three people voted to keep Lyric, but now five claim to have done so. These doubts vanished when Angela confessed to Haley that she voted to evict Lyric the next day.

Haley was disappointed as she considered Angela her friend and did not think the icon would betray her. Angela informed Dee about her revelation, and she quickly got to work. She came clean to Kamu about her vote. Kamu, Dee, Yash, Chuk, and Haley later came together to discuss the vote. Kamu also brought in Angela, and the situation led to a confrontation between her and Haley. In such a situation, the 'Power of Veto' was more crucial than ever before.

Kamu and Dee were chosen at the player-picking ceremony to compete alongside the nominees and HOH in the POV competition. Feeds went off during the competition, and returned to Kamu being declared the winner. It apparently came down to Kamu and Barrett in the competition, and the former emerged victorious. Kamu had promised Yash, Taylor, and many more that he would not use the veto. As of now, it seems he is sticking to his word, even though his former allies Haley and Chuk have pleaded with him.

If the nominations remain the same, Haley is deemed the target. Recently, though, both Angela and Dee, as well as Melody and Mallory, have discussed keeping her instead of Chuk. Kamu is also seen taking her side. Lala and Taylor are also considering evicting Barrett if they can get the votes. Given how the previous week shaped up, anything can happen.
