NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Yuengling, a Pennsylvania-based brewer, seemed to criticize Bud Light in a tweet posted on Friday, just after the CEO of Bud Light apologized for the "divisive" choice to collaborate with Dylan Mulvaney, a transgender influencer. Brendan Whitmore, CEO of Anheuser-Busch, the parent company of Bud Light, released a statement on Friday, April 14, in response to the crisis that has overtaken the brewer and caused a $6 billion decline in market value.

Following that, Yuengling tweeted, "Yuengling, The Oldest Brewery In America. Independently Owned and Family Operated since 1829 because we make good beer." They posted a picture of their beer can, which reads "Traditional Lager," along with the tweet.

Richard "Dick" Yuengling Jr is the president and sole owner of the Pottsville, Pennsylvania-based brewery Yuengling. He was born in 1943 and is an extremely wealthy businessman in the United States. As the company's sole owner since buying out his father in 1985, he represents the fifth generation of his family to operate Yuengling, as per Forbes.

The company now produces about 2.8 million barrels a year, up from 137,000 barrels when he bought out his father in 1985. Yuengling joined the company after finishing Lycoming College but quickly left after a disagreement with his father concerning modernization. Before buying his father out in 1985, he ran a beer distributorship for 11 years, selling Yuengling and its rivals to nearby taverns and shops. He swiftly expanded his distributor network, equipment, and packaging before discovering Yuengling Lager, which now accounts for around 85 per cent of sales. The four daughters of Yuengling, who are now in their 40s, are all employed at the brewery and are being prepared to take over the business.

How much is the Yuengling family worth?

Fifth-generation owner Yuengling transformed his family's failing brewery into one of the biggest breweries in the United States. The estimated net worth is $1.4 billion, as per The Morning Call. Yuengling's post, which has received 54,000 likes, was interpreted as a jab at its larger rival, which is still reeling from the controversy that started when Mulvaney announced the collaboration on April 1. The Bud Light Twitter account posted once again on Friday, breaking an almost two-week dry spell. "TGIF?" was the brand's message on a tweet that featured a chilled can of its traditional brew.

'Your sales are about to skyrocket, thanks to Anheuser'

Many people began promoting the brand as a result of the timely tweet from the Pennsylvania-based brewery, which has since received over 4.8 million views. They extolled it as a "conservative brewed," "patriotic," and "better than socially progressive" beer. "If you wanted to support a new beer, go Yuengling, tweeted a user." "Yuengling is the oldest beer/brewery in America and has been around since 1829. Yuengling endorsed Trump in 2016. As a result, Democrats and LGBTQ bars boycotted Yuengling. Despite headlines from MSM, Yuengling not only…" A lot of online users commended the beer for its flavor and cost. One user wrote, Yuengling is based and already on shelves in like half of US States now with plans to go nationwide soon. Plus, it’s like $8.99 a 6-pack (or maybe less depending on your area), which is competitive with the bigger woke corporate beer prices." "I've switched as well and Glad I did. This is good-tasting beer," remarked one user. One person said, "So you climbed out from under your rock and posted something! Sorry, but I found a much better option!" One user claimed, "Your sales are about to skyrocket - thanks to Anheuser."
