Brendan Whitmore, CEO of Anheuser-Busch, the parent company of Bud Light, released a statement on Friday, April 14, in response to the crisis that has overtaken the brewer and caused a $6 billion decline in market value.

Who owns Yuengling?

Richard "Dick" Yuengling Jr is the president and sole owner of the Pottsville, Pennsylvania-based brewery Yuengling. He was born in 1943 and is an extremely wealthy businessman in the United States. As the company's sole owner since buying out his father in 1985, he represents the fifth generation of his family to operate Yuengling, as per Forbes.

The company now produces about 2.8 million barrels a year, up from 137,000 barrels when he bought out his father in 1985.
