'Alter Ego': Who is Nevaeh King? Florida drag queen reveals crush on Nick Lachey
As the lead singer of 98 degrees, Nick Lachey was America's sweetheart. Many people grew up with a huge crush on him. Jay Miah, 32, is no different. So, when Jay got the opportunity to not only meet but also sing in front of his crush, it was a dream come true moment for him. Nick, who serves as a judge on Fox's new singing competition show 'Alter Ego' was left blushing and grinning from ear to ear when Jay's avatar a stunning red-haired beauty named Neveah King appeared on the stage and declared that she has a crush on him.
Nevaeh then proceeded to croon to Whitney Houston's 'I Will Always Love You'. All the four judges- Grimes, Will.I.Am, Alanis Morissette, and Nick Lachey were amazed by Nevaeh's performance. Nick even declared that he felt like the performance was just for him, and couldn't stop raving about her. While will.I.Am praised Nevaeh's amazing range and vocals, he revealed that he was a bit hurt on being friend-zoned by her. Thanks to Nevaeh's female voice and avatar, the judges were under the impression that the person behind it is a female, we can't wait to see their faces when Jay is revealed. Who is Neveah King on 'Alter Ego'?
Neveah King aka Jay Miah is a 32-year-old from Tampa Bay, Florida. In his introduction segment Jay revealed that whenever he sang, people always felt that it was a woman singing. So, he began performing as a drag queen and created Nevaeh King as his alter ego. He revealed that whenever he looked at himself in the mirror he saw Nevaeh's reflection, and was just beginning to embrace it.
Jay is no stranger to the television screens. Prior to 'Alter Ego' he auditioned for 'The Voice' Season 17 in 2019. Sadly, he couldn't make it past the blind auditions round as none of the coaches turned their chairs for him. However, he did earn praises from coaches and several followers and fans on social media. If Jay's performance for the 'Alter Ego' auditions is anything to go by, we wouldn't be surprised if he manages to go pretty far in the competition. The audience has already begun to show their love for him by saving him from getting eliminated after the judges picked St. Luna over him to place on the diamond.
