How did Angela Kukawski die? Kardashians and Nicki Minaj mourn murder of 55-yr-old biz manager
SIMI VALLEY, CALIFORNIA: Business manager Angela 'Angie' Kukawski, whose clients include the Kardashians and Nicki Minaj, has died in what police believe is a homicide. The Los Angeles Police Department said that authorities have launched an investigation after Kukawski was found dead inside of her car in Simi Valley on December 23.
Police said in a press release that Kukawski, who also worked with other high-profile clients such as Kanye "Ye" West and Offset, had been reported missing on December 22. Investigators believe the 55-year-old has been murdered by her boyfriend Jason Barker, 49, at their Sherman Oaks home. Her body was seemingly transported to Simi Valley in her vehicle, the press release said.

According to jail records, Barker was arrested on December 23 in connection with the case. He was charged with one count of murder with malice and one count of torture "with the intent to cause cruel and extreme pain and suffering for the purpose of revenge, extortion, persuasion and for a sadistic purpose, inflict great bodily injury" during an arraignment on December 28, according to court documents obtained by E! News.
Barker is being held on $3.07 million bail at present, at the Inmate Reception Center in Los Angeles, and his arraignment has been continued to January 12, 2022. As per the Ventura County Medical Examiner's Office, Kukawski died of sharp and blunt force injuries of the head and neck and strangulation, and her manner of death was subsequently ruled a homicide.
The Kardashians described Kukawski as 'truly the best' in a statement. She cared about everyone of us and made things happen that were impossible," the family said. "She will be greatly missed and we send our sincere condolences to her family and loved ones during this most difficult time."
Nicki Minaj posted, "Hardest working, most reliable, sweetest person you could ever know. You didn't deserve this, Angela. My heart is breaking for your children. Rest In Peace."
In a statement, Boulevard Management, where Kukawski worked, mourned the business manager's tragic death. "We are saddened and heartbroken by the loss of our colleague, Angie Kukawski," the statement read. "Angie was well respected amongst her peers, and she was a kind, and wonderful person. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Our deepest condolences go out to all of Angie's family and friends."
