A young couple, Alyssa and Jimmy Maldonado, were shot in a killing spree that took place in Denver, Colorado, on Monday, December 27. The gunman entered a tattoo studio where Jimmy and Alyssa were present. Employees of Sol Tribe Custom Tattoo and Body Piercing were among the first people to be targeted by the gunman. The news of Alyssa Maldonado's death has been shared on social media by her loved ones. Jimmy has survived and is now under medical attention.

The two women who were killed in the shooting — Alicia Cardenas and Alyssa Maldonado — were both associated with Sol Tribe Tattoo Studio. Alicia owned the business and was known to her peers as a loving person who was very dedicated to her art. Jimmy Maldonado, Alyssa's husband, worked as a body piercing artist at the Sol Tribe studio.

In November, Jimmy wrote on Facebook, “So, I’m officially in my own space. I’m mean I’m still at sol tribe for now, but I have my little spot in the back that’s kinda my space and I’m f**kin lovin it! It still needs a little bit more work but once I have it to my liking (which will be never😂) it’s gonna be more dope. Many years ago I worked at a shop here in Denver called Twisted Sol.”

The victims of the shooting at Sol Tribe were all quite popular in the tattoo and body art community. Their names have gone viral in their community where people have taken to social media to express their condolences and pay tribute to everyone who died in the tragic incident. The suspect has been identified as Lyndon McLeod. McLeod had once owned a tattoo parlor of his own. He was also an author of violent fiction. McLeod knew his victims and it is alleged that his attack on the Sol Tribe studio was premeditated.
