Who is the 'unluckiest woman in the world'? Alli McLaren was punched in the face, got brain tumor and was run over on her way to hospital
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 30-year-old social media star Alli McLaren has been tagged the 'unluckiest woman in the world' after a viral TikTok testimonial. McLaren says in the video, “I’m that friend that lives that ‘can’t catch a break dramatic lifestyle.” In the video, which has over 1.6 million views, she revealed how she was punched in the face by a homeless person who broke her jaw, followed by being diagnosed with a brain tumor and then getting hit by a car on her way to radiation treatment.
McLaren said she suffered a fractured jaw after being punched in the face by a homeless person during an unprovoked attack in October 2021. "He walked across the road and I saw him out of the corner of my eye. He ran straight up to me and punched me. He punched through my phone, which broke from the impact, and I fell over. It all happened in about two seconds,” she told Media Drum, as reported by New York Post.

'Can't catch a break'
She then sought medical attention at an urgent care facility in West Hollywood. The doctors informed her that she “looked fine”. However, after a few months, her teeth began to fall off during a drive. A dentist later confirmed that her jaw had been broken. She was instructed to get oral surgery to fix the fracture. She explained, “I had to get jaw surgery to fix it, and my immune system was super weak, and I ended up getting an infection and pneumonia.”
Following this, she fell and hit her head, which led to a traumatic brain injury that spurred back-to-back seizures. Two months after receiving treatment, she started getting more seizures, started vomiting, and also suffered mood changes, unexplained anger, and confusion. This led to the discovery of a noncancerous giant cell tumor in her brain. Doctors removed most of the mass but also prescribed radiation. And then, on her way to the hospital, McLaren was run over by a driver who failed to brake at a stop sign.
'I don’t trust anyone'
She narrated, “I have really struggled to be honest. I’ve had both really bad depression and anxiety. I also get really uncomfortable walking near people on the street because I don’t trust anyone.” She added, "I got demoted from my job because I had to work from home so much and I ended up leaving after that, so financially it’s been a strain."
