LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘Unexpected’ Season 6 is indeed having some unexpected elements to it. As the show returned from it's hiatus, it brought along more dramas and twists.
As some familiar faces bid farewell to the show to pursue personal endeavors, the arrival of fresh talent has infused captivating depth into the storyline. Their youthful perspectives and wisdom challenge conventional notions, proving that age is merely a number. As Tiarra Boisseau leaves the show along with her cousin Taylor, only two regulars return to the show. Jenna Ronan and Lilly Bennett are the only two returning this season. Who are the five couples for this season of ‘Unexpected’?
Who are the cast of ‘Unexpected’ Season 6?
Emalee and Nate
18-year-old Emalee calls herself the “cougar” teen mom. She is dating the shy and young Nate (16), who aspires to be a professional motocross rider. Emalee, feels that she is constantly being a mother to her boyfriend and would have to be a mother to two babies in future.
Being a pregnant teen sometimes annoys her and she thus thinks it's not for the “weak” of heart to get pregnant in high school. They both face pressure from both sides of the family.
Kayleigh (15 years old) and Graham (15 years old)
Kayleigh, who is 15 years old, was a cheer queen untill she became pregnant with 15-year-old Graham's child. The couple find out how long distance is difficult as none can drive to see each other, adding layers to an already complex situation where parents are involved.
Aniyah and Dakwon
Aniyah (17) is the dream teenager who is good at everything, an overachiever. She is dating Dakwon, a well behaved 17-year-old boy. Their lives took a drastic turn when they found out about the pregnancy. Aniyah's pregnancy is complicated which can even take her life. She also worries that Dakwon would leave after the baby is born.
Jenna and JJ
Jenna (19) has been on a journey navigating her relationship with her ex, a path complicated further by the arrival of Lucas (their baby), now three years old. She has now moved on and has found love in JJ (20). She also has a friend Delanie staying with her, until the past comes knocking at her door once again.
Lilly (22 years old) and Lawrence (21 years old)
22-year-old Lilly and 21-year-old Lawrence thought it was love at first sight. However, being young is not easy as they try to raise a family. They have two children, a 4-year-old Aliyah and 16-month-old LJ.
They are also planning a dream wedding that Lilly wants soon, in the next 90 days, and Lawrence is worried as it is not easy to manage a family and have a costly wedding together. Lilly’s mother also thinks that marriage should happen soon as many promised rings to her daughter, but they were all broken.
‘Unexpected’ Season 6 will stream on TLC network at 9 pm on June 3, 2024. It will also be available on Discovery+ and Amazon Prime Video later.
