Who is Snow Cone on 'The Masked Singer' Season 14? Mysterious contestant ups the ante on FOX show premiere
With its premiere on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, 'The Masked Singer' Season 14 has effectively set the stage for what is to come. The FOX music mystery show follows a unique format where a diverse lineup of costumed contestants compete against each other through their musical performances. The catch is that they must remain hidden beneath their elaborately designed costumes until the judges can guess their true identities. Furthermore, one contestant, Snow Cone, has piqued the interest of plenty.
Among the other contestants who performed on the show's premiere episode, Snow Cone was particularly memorable. The contestant delivered a stunning rendition of the Pussycat Dolls' song 'When I Grow Up'. This was one part of the head-to-head contest in which the contestants were paired for the opening round. Once, after the initial round of performances, the top five performers advanced to the next round. The remaining five contestants were then subject to a second round of voting, following which the last two contestants were eliminated, according to Parade.
Gold Derby reported the audio clue for Snow Cone as follows: "Hello, everyone. My name is Snow Cone, and I'm here to clear the air. I've been misunderstood. Look, from day one, I knew I was destined for stardom. Sure, I was just modeling snow boots for a kids' catalogue, but I was the whole package. And then, wham! I finally got my big break. I landed a role on one of TV's hottest shows, until one moment spoiled everything. I was kicked to the curb. You should have seen what the headlines said about me. All lies."
The clue further described, "Hollywood completely iced me out, and ever since then, I've been trying to shake that image. Tonight, the nerves are real, but this song feels personal to me, and not what you think. I'm gonna prove these people wrong." This wasn't all, as the visual clues announcing Snow Cone were equally intriguing. There were Devil horns on the Men in Black, a scandal support group meeting, and a children's catalogue. The contestant further sported a pair of pink shoes with the letters 'CO' etched in white, along with an old TV stand, a street sign with the phrase 'Celebrity Exit' on it, a 'Snow Cone is alive' news headline, as well as an 'America's Sweetheart' sash.
Judge Rita Ora thought that the celebrity beneath the Snow Cone costume was Nicole Richie from 'The Simple Life', whereas Ken Jeong believed it to be Taylor Momsen of 'Gossip Girl' fame. Nevertheless, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg's guess of Mischa Barton proved to be the one with the most potential. Barton first rose to fame on the FOX show 'The OC, although she had previously worked as a child actress. Her character, Marissa, was shockingly killed off in the show's third season, marking her abrupt exit from the show. The media extensively covered her subsequent personal issues and legal struggles. 'The Masked Singer' Season 14 airs new episodes every Wednesday at 8 pm ET on FOX.
