Olivia Soli knew she wanted to be a performer since she was five years old. She began her path to realizing her goals by taking piano and singing classes. Her passion for singing and acting landed her a role in musical theater as one of the Von Trapp children in 'The Sound of Music' as early as first grade. She pursued her interest until she was chosen as Rapunzel in the musical 'Into the Woods' in middle school. She was privileged to perform in front of 2,000 people at Paramount Studios for a fundraiser. At the age of 11, she co-wrote three tracks for her first recording, which can be found on Olivia Soli's YouTube channel, along with many new inspirations.
Olivia can currently be seen performing with a variety of acts at the Sofitel Hotel in Los Angeles, as well as having her solo debut at Vibrato Jazz Club. She also had the opportunity to record tracks penned by Bertrand Laurent in Paris, France. Singer, composer, and pianist are eager to leave her imprint in the music industry. Alicia Keys and Beyonce have affected her musical approach and served as role models for her music career. More to come as her success as an amazing vocalist, composer, pianist, and actress develops.
Olivia is a pop singer from Los Angeles who is in her early twenties. In May 2021, she released her debut song, the addictive 'Boy Bye,' and followed it up with a music video. Her dynamic, perfectly pitched, and polished singing is the centerpiece of the composition. The song offers insight into her own dating adventures.
On Instagram, she says her aim was to "write an empowering female anthem everyone can relate to." The idea was inspired by guys who enjoy the thrill of the pursuit, but "as soon as the boy thinks he has a hold on you, he is suddenly not interested." Olivia stated at the time that she intended to follow up with a debut EP. However, 'Boy Bye' is her only streaming release to date.
She was the first underage girl to have her own live performance at the Vibrato Jazz Club in Los Angeles when she was 15 years old. She cites Beyonce, Aretha Franklin, Alicia Keys, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, and Christina Aguilera as artistic influences. "They display the heart and soul of music in my eyes," she adds.
As for her own music, she characterized it this way: "It makes people feel empowered and sexy. My style of music is perfect to dance and sing as loud as you can in your car when you want to feel like a princess."
Olivia has near about 69,000 TikTok followers, where she recently shared clips of her rendition of the national anthem at a Los Angeles Clippers game.
Being a native of Los Angeles, Olivia has profound insider knowledge of the city's benefits and drawbacks in terms of how they can affect an artist. "This city can have a magical magnetic energy or simply a toxic lifestyle," Olivia explains. "The pros of being an artist in LA is the connections you make and being surrounded with like-minded people who are searching for the same thing. There is so much art and culture in LA it can be an amazing outlet for creativity. The cons of being an artist in Los Angeles is feeling like a small fish in a big pond. Artists from all around the world come here to pursue the exact dream, and sometimes that can be discouraging to artists," she said.
