Kaylin reunites with her Army dad at 'American Idol' auditions
Kaylin spent her childhood performing at county festivals. She moved to New York as her father was stationed in the service. Fans were perplexed as to how that works. One of them tweeted, "Wait so her dad deployed so she can sing? That makes no f***ing sense." He's missed her birthday for the ninth year in a run. Fans are aware of what is to come.

Kaylin has been in New York City, honing her art. She has a lovely tone and a heavy tremolo. The song is about a father who is away. It's clearly upsetting for her. The lyric was flat, but she soars on the refrain.
Luke Bryan believed she was using falsetto a lot until she started singing high notes. The judges have footage of dad expressing his feelings for her. "Look around," he concludes the message. And just like that, he's right there. Who could have predicted that? Nonetheless, it's a very moving reconciliation. It's also a treat for her mom. Kaylin not only gets a brief reconciliation with her father but also receives a Platinum Ticket to Nashville.
'Bet if dad wasnt military she wouldnt get it'
After Kaylin won the Platinum Ticket, a fan said, ""My Dad's missed my birthday 9 years in a row (but getting that ticket to Hollywood will heal all that pain" -- yeah, I don't know girl."
Another fan added, "I vote no because of her giggling after every sentence." Judging the choice of their place of reunion, a fan sighed, "So they decide to reunite on #AmericanIdol ..." Questioning how she got a Platinum Ticket, one fan asked, "Another crier makes it through. NO idea how she rated a platinum ticket!!"
