Who is Lisa Hamme?
Usman's love story with his first wife Lisa Robinson (née Hamme) was featured on Season 4 of '90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days' which premiered in February 2020. Lisa and Usman met online and she planned to fly to Nigeria to see him for the first time after Usman proposed. Despite almost making it down the aisle during the show, the couple parted ways in May 2020.
Lisa said after their divorce that Usman "used" her to seek fame for his music. "He married me just to be on a TV show that people would recognize his name to sell his music," she revealed to admirers on Instagram in June 2020. "You have humiliated yourself, me, my daughter, your siblings, your friends. You are nothing more than a scammer."
Later that month, her rep Rocco Straz revealed the specifics of their breakup in an exclusive statement to In Touch. "Lisa had enough of Usman with the disrespect and lies," her spokesman said. "Usman went Live [to] humiliate his wife, saying that she tried to poison herself if he didn’t marry her. Usman also stated that he was with Lisa because he feels bad. A lot of fans always questioned his [intentions], and he’s just proving them correct."
Lisa's assertions that Usman exploited her to In Touch were refuted by a source close to him. "SojaBoy is not a scammer," claimed the insider at the time. "I’m very sure [he] is living [a] better life [than] Lisa."
In December 2021, the 'Zara' star exclusively revealed In Touch that he had issued divorce papers to his ex.
"Lisa and I are no longer together, she was served [papers] last week and she [doesn’t want to] accept it," the reality star said at the time. "My lawyer called her so that she can explain why or complain [about] the divorce, but she yelled at him and cut the call."
During his appearance on Season 5 of the spinoff in December 2022, Usman stated they have since formalized their divorce.
"I won’t let anything stand in the way of being successful, which is part of the reason why I am recently divorced," SojaBoy revealed during the show. "Three years ago, I met my ex-wife online. She’s like 20 years older than me, and she was American. But her controlling nature affected my career. Things started falling apart, and then we get divorced because we are not happy together. And now I am single, but maybe not for long."
Lisa married her current husband Tracey Robinson in April 2021, whom she knew since fifth grade. In September 2020, the couple reconnected and began dating. "He proposed twice to me and with COVID, things got pushed back," the TLC star exclusively informed In Touch in May 2021. "The contract kept pushing things back, and I talked with my manager and Tracey, and we decided we were going to the altar straight to get married because we could not wait anymore."
Usman's ex-wife makes a crude jab at Kim
The native of Pennsylvania has been outspoken in the condemnation of her ex and his current relationship. "The difference between Kim and I is that I was in a relationship with Usman prior to the show. I met his family via video chat," Lisa told In Touch exclusively in February 2022. "And the reason that we proceeded is because I was in love with him, and I thought he was [going to] be my forever. Well, that turned out to be a big mistake."
She also claimed that the Nigerian singer returned to the long-running series to advance his music career, rather than for Kimberly's sake. "As far as Usman coming back on the show with Kimberly, I do believe it’s a fraud," she continued. "He’s back on, so TLC would do the video, ‘Zara’. Has nothing to do with Kim."
SojaBoy attacked Lisa's accusations about his storyline with Kim being fake in a statement to In Touch, claiming it's "obvious this has harmed her so [badly]."
"I wish her the best, even though I know best is not her option," he concluded. "I’m busy counting my blessings and I’m happy with my queen Kimberllllllly, so I [have] no time to waste. At [the] end, I want to say thanks to our audience, me and my Queen Kimberllllllly, and keep on watching."
Lisa is now targeting Kim for her "first wife" statement, according to a screenshot of '90 Day Fiancé' cast member Lisa's TikTok post captured by Reddit user basicwhiteg1rl. Lisa created a video by overlaying one of Usman and Kim's photographs from '90 Day Fiancé' with her own. She then captioned the photo, "You will never be the FIRST wife," and followers like Coltees_breastesess are now referring to Lisa as "Baby Troll Lisa," a moniker many think she deserves.
Kim's claimed on '90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?' that she refuses to be Usman's "second anything" and is unwilling to compromise. It's unknown whether Kim's potential marriage will continue longer than Usman's did with Lisa.
'90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?' airs on Sundays at 8 pm EDT on TLC.
