NIGERIA, WEST AFRICA: Kim Menzies' relationship with Usman "Sojaboy" Umar isn't looking promising. '90 Day Fiance' fans can't help but feel sorry for Usman's mother and family as he continues to bring home women they would disapprove of.

The pair is on their way to see Usman's older siblings and mother to get their permission to marry Kimberly, and they decide to bring a cow as a gift. Usman has yet to inform Kimberly that his family is unlikely to approve of their union, and she is holding out hope. "Aside from fighting in Operation Desert Storm, this is probably gonna be the most nerve-wracking experience of my life," Kimberly says in an interview. "I’m kinda going in there with a cow, like, ‘Hi, how are you?’ No plan."

On Sunday night's episode of '90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?' the pair sought Usman's mother's permission—the only thing that would enable them to marry. However, Usman's family explained why they are jaded about him dating an older, American woman after allowing him to marry Lisa Hamme in the first place. Kim purchased a bull for Usman's mother at the beginning of the episode. The customary present is intended to express affection for the family. However, it was not seen favorably in this instance. When the cow came to the family home the next day, it was regarded as a bribe rather than a good wish.

A knock on the door interrupted the family's talk, and it did not go as Kim and Usman had hoped. "Mommy, just listen to this," one of Usman's brothers stated. "Do you know what I'm thinking? Since they know that we will not agree, they chose to bribe us ." Kim said her first words. "It is so not a bribe," she insisted.

"May God take that woman away from us," Usman's sister pleaded under her breath. Kim's motive was called into doubt after meeting Usman's mother and elder siblings, all of whom have a say in whom Usman marries. Usman announced the news early in the meeting. "She fell in love with me for a very long time," he explained. "However, I told her, due to what happened to me last time, I cannot commit myself to any relationship."

He was aware that things had changed. "The truth is, we both adore each other," Usman stated. Kimberly is unable to comprehend what Usman's mother, Fadimatu and his brothers and sisters are saying, but Fadimatu's upset expression when she first sees Kimberly tells it all. Until his mother spoke up, he was met with silence. "He has previously married a white woman. They had a disagreement, and they split up," she stated. "They couldn't have a kid."

Kim's age – he's 18 years older than Usman — appears to be a problem in this marriage, as it was in his last one. His brother listed his worries, remarking, "She is not your age. She's not from your country. She doesn't speak your language."

Another brother intervened, speaking in English, so Kim could comprehend. "Our mother, she is very eager to see grandchildren from you. She is too old for you," he later said. The decision was then made. "This time around, I don't think we can support this issue." Kimberly requests to speak, but no one grants her permission.

Usman's overall choice of women was also highlighted—he now has two 50-something white American fiancees. "It's clumsy for you to continue presenting these kinds of women who have no hopes of producing children," his brother stated. The episode ended on a cliffhanger, leaving little hope for a marriage blessing.

Fans are sad to see Usman's mother go through the same issues again with Usman: "Usman's mom is looking like 'not this sh*t again'." Some fans are now hoping to see Usman give up on his American dream for the sake of his family: "Usman's family is tired of these middle aged American women he brings home. Usman marry a Nigerian woman half Kimberly's age. You aren't going to be a star in the US. That green card isn't gonna give you what you think it will." Another fan quipped: "Y'all I'm still crying at Usman’s brother telling him, to stop bringing old white women to they're mommas house. TEARS." One fan felt the only reason Usman chose Kim was because of her money as his family receives a farm animal following the electronic goods she showered on him in last week's episode: "Usman is just using women for money and dowries. He is nothing but a scammer."

Pointing out the obvious conflict in the matter, a fan wrote: "Usman’s type is non childbearing women with low self-esteem. And him bringing them in front of his family knowing they’re going to chew these women up is ridiculous. Cow in tote or not." Calling this entire meeting a 'hot mess' a fan tweeted: "This meeting with Usman’s family is a hot mess." One fan raised a head turner question as they write: "Isn't happily ever after supposed to focused on couples that are married and seeing if they are flourishing or not? So why are Kim, Usman, Ed and Liz on? Especially Ed/Liz who don't fit any criteria." Suggesting Usman's real motive to be on the show, another viewer wrote: "So Usman is just on this show so people notice his music, right?"
