WACO, TEXAS: Jon Lindsley is part of the musical duo, 'The Lindsley Brothers,' which consists of him and his brother Trey Lindsley, who make music to encourage people and bring positive change. "We seek to be a positive influence on those who listen to our music and always to bring hope rather than despair," the brothers share about their band on their website.

However, it is unusual for them to compete against each other, which is exactly why the brothers wanted to take part in 'American Idol' Season 22, together, a dream which sadly never fruitified. The Lindsley brothers, accustomed to creating music together, also revealed that they would never venture into solo performances before, and this was Jon's first time doing a gig without his elder brother, Trey.

"We were probably going to do it as a duo because that’s who we are that’s our main gig, and I think we do a great job together, I think there’s something really special about brothers playing together and making music,” Jon said to 25News. Jon almost ended up participating alongside his brother Trey on the show. However, Trey could not make it in the previous seasons of the show. This led Jon to pursue the competition on his own this time, with Trey supporting him and accompanying him throughout his journey.

How was Jon Lindsley's experience on 'American Idol' Season 22?

Jon Lindsley shared his experience on the auditions of 'American Idol' with 25News, mentioning how he treated it like any other performance, giving it his all. Lindsley expressed gratitude for his journey thus far and thanked God for bringing him to where he is today.

"I really did give it all I’ve got, you’ll see that on Sunday. I think what’s so fascinating about a TV show like that is, again, it’s not about how good you are, but they are, for some reason, giving me an opportunity to be on TV and to get myself out there and to get my music out there," Jon shared with 25news. “For some reason, God gave me the opportunity to be here, and I don’t know what exactly is the purpose for me being here or why I’m being aired, or why they’re showing me, why I’m special in that regard, but I am, and I’m excited to see where it goes,” he added.
