Who is Jenna Dramise? Kyle Smaine's wife pays tribute to ex-halfpipe world champ, says 'can't wait to see you again'
OTARI, JAPAN: On November 18, 2022, Kyle Smaine married Jenna Dramise, 13 years after they first met while hitchhiking. Nobody had anticipated that the couple's marriage would only last two months. But before skier Smaine was killed by an avalanche on Japan's Honshu Island's Mount Hakuba Norikura on Sunday, January 29, the pair had enjoyed some of their most memorable days together.
Kyle Smaine, a former halfpipe world champion, was among the two skiers killed by an avalanche. The incident took place in Otari village in Central Japan outside the patrolled area of the ski resort when an avalanche triggered by another skier killed five skiers, including Smaine. He was thrown 50 meters away due to the airblast triggered by the avalanche.
