Actress Han So-hee has proved that she is not the one that should be blamed for her mother’s wrongdoings after releasing her official statement. A few weeks ago, it was anonymously reported that the mother of a leading actress from the Korean Entertainment Industry had been accused of committing identity theft in the name of her daughter and had taken out a loan of around 85 Million Won ($69,000) from debtors. Recent reports reveal that the actress is none other than Han So-hee (aka Han So-hwee) who is in Netflix dramas like ‘Nevertheless’ and ‘My Name.’
On March 7, U-ATTO Entertainment, the label that manages the activities of the actress has released her official stance on the situation. Fans are lauding the K-drama actress for having made a firm decision when her reputation was being dragged down due to the wrongdoings of her mother. Han So-hee announced that she will not take responsibility for her mother’s faults and will only continue her familial relationship with her mother.

Han So-hee’s label reacts to controversy
In an official statement, released on March 7, the label U-ATTO Entertainment informed fans of the actress about the controversy revolving about Han So-hee’s mother. In the year 2020, it was first revealed that Han So-hee’s mother, Ms. Shin, had borrowed money from debtors using a bank account in the name of the actress, many years ago, when she was still young.
On learning about the incident 20 years after it took place, Han So-hee took responsibility for her mother’s naive actions and repaid the loan. Now, more and more such incidents have surfaced where it has been revealed that So-hee’s mother has not only committed identity theft and borrowed money in the actress' name but has even forged private documents to secure loans.
The label states that a civil trial was conducted to investigate these fradulent activities and the court ruled that all the offenses were committed by the mother, Ms. Shin, alone and without the knowledge of the actress. The label went on to reveal that, as of April 2021, the court did not find Han So-hee jointly liable for the loans taken by her mother.

The label then went on to reveal Han So-hee’s stand in the context of the controversy that had ruined her reputation. It was revealed that Han So-hee had initially paid back debtors in 2020 when the first fraud case involving her mother came to light. She then revealed that she knows there could be more victims and apologized for her mother’s wrongdoings. She also apologized to fans and victims. She had hoped, while paying off debtors in 2020, that such a situation would not arise again. But since it has, Han So-hee’s side has emphasized that the actress is not going to take responsibility for her mother's actions anymore.
U-ATTO Entertainment stated that since her mother is repeatedly causing similar controversies by misusing Han So-hee's name. This is why the actress has decided to publicly state that she will not take responsibility for her mother’s actions and will not help her repay her loans again. The label also stated that they cannot break the bond between mother and daughter but will attempt to thwart the actions caused by Ms. Shin that may harm the actress or her reputation in the future.
