Popular video game critic and YouTuber Dunkey just reviewed Sega's 'Sonic Frontiers' and things went downhill for the game pretty quickly. The game lets you explore the mysterious Starfall Islands as Sonic the Hedgehog to collect the Chaos Emeralds after Sonic and his friends are separated after falling through a wormhole. Despite the overwhelming reviews, Dunkey's clan was quick to review bomb the game and the gaming community isn't happy.

Known for quirky skits and indirect humor, the 31-year-old YouTuber slammed the game for being glitchy, claiming that he was glad when it finally ended. Dunkey tweeted, "Sonic Frontiers is over ... i'm free" and the highly anticipated video game did not fare well after that. Following the release of Dunkey's video on YouTube, his fans were quick to review bomb the game and tank its ratings. The video game was sitting at a cool 8.8 on Metacritic but instantly went down to 8.5 after Dunkey's fans deemed it sloppy.

Internet slams Dunkey and his fans for tanking 'Sonic Frontiers' rating

One user tweeted, "You can just tell that every negative review that Sonic Frontiers got today is because of the Dunkey video, some even mention it." Another user recommended Dunkey's fans judge the game for themselves and wrote, "Annoyed to see Sonic Frontiers now getting review bombed. Shows that Dunkey fans need to learn to think for themselves instead of taking his opinions as gospel. #SonicFrontiers #SonicTheHedgehog."

Sharing similar sentiments, another user wrote, ""Dunkey's videos are purely satire." Then stop taking his opinions as pure gospel. Either it's satire or it is not. But it cannot be both." Someone else tweeted, "Wow dunkey is very good at making games look bad if i hadnt already played frontiers and seen his video i would've assumed it was the worst game ever made now i know how xenoblade fans feel."

One user tweeted, "Also god damn, Dunkey subtly encouraging his fans to review bomb a game that he deems "undeserving" looks so fucking bad now that he's a publisher That stigma of pettiness will stain every studio he's involved with and he either doesn't think about this stuff or doesn't care." Another user wrote, "Dunkey isn't really the problem. The problem is his fans. They will take everything he says as gospel and drag the game's reception down. #SonicFrontiers #SonicTheHedgehog"
