Who is Delphine Arnault? World's richest man Bernard Arnault names daughter as Dior CEO
PARIS, FRANCE: The world's richest man, Bernard Arnault, has a new leader for his company Christian Dior and it is his daughter Delphine Arnault. The change in leadership comes as a part of a reshuffle at LVMH, which includes Louis Vuitton, Moet, and Hennessy brands as well as Dior. The intra-promotion will see the outgoing head of Dior, Pietro Beccari, move on to replace long-time Louis Vuitton chief executive Michael Burke.
Credit Suisse analyst Natasha Brilliant said, "Both are well respected; logical promotions within the group," as per BBC. Delphine Arnault will be the new CEO of Dior with effect from February 1. The company will be out of Beccari's hands for the first time since 2018 and he's the man behind the company's unprecedented success. The company controls 100 percent of its e-commerce distribution. In a conversation with Vogue Business, he said, "We strongly believe that we need to add competencies inside our team and possibly again be pioneering and be the ones setting the way for new exploitation of the [technology]. Second half, maybe last quarter. We are not in a rush; we prefer to do things properly. We are protective of our image. Desirability of today is the turnover and the volume of tomorrow."
