However, during the 'Dance Moms: The Reunion', which was filmed in the fall of 2023, Chloe reflected on her relationship and her mother, Christi Lukasiak's reaction when she came out. She shared about her relationship, "I feel like I really have this newfound confidence." Meanwhile, the producer noted that Chloe's mother had struggled to accept her and Brooklinn's relationship.
Christi also admitted that it was a challenging period, and she found it difficult to accept the relationship. However, the Lifetime show alum defended her mother and noted that she wanted her best and she was afraid of the judgment she would face. Chloe noted, "But at the end of the day, that's their issue that's not mine."

Chloe's mother further shared, "Like when you announced to the world that you were with Brooklinn, that is just the most admirable thing in the world and I'm so proud."
