LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Buzz Aldrin, the second man to land on the moon, has tied the knot for the fourth time now. Aldrin took to Twitter on January 20, to share the news of his marriage, as he celebrated his 93rd birthday. He married his long-time love Dr Anca Faur, 63 in a small private ceremony in Los Angeles. Aldrin, the Apollo 11 astronaut who accompanied Neil Armstrong on the "giant leap for mankind" trip to the moon, retired from NASA in 1971 and in 1998 founded the ShareSpace Foundation, a non-profit organisation to promote the expansion of crewed space exploration. His wedding announcement prompted the internet to react and congratulatory messages started pouring in.
Aldrin has been previously married three times. His first marriage to Joan Ann Archer lasted two decades, from 1954 to 1974, while his second marriage to Beverly Van Zile, ended in just three years after they got married in 1975. Aldrin got married for the third time in 1988 to Lois Driggs Cannon, but the couple divorced in 2012. Aldrin has three children, James, Janice and Andrew, with his first wife, Joan Ann Archer. He also has one grandson, Jeffrey Schuss, from his daughter Janice, three great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter.

Aldrin got married to 63-year-old Dr Anca Faur recently. Faur, who has been working for Aldrin's company since 2019, is currently the Executive Vice-President of Buzz Aldrin Ventures LLC, according to her LinkedIn page. She has a PhD in chemical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and has worked as a Project Leader at Union Carbide, catalyst development manager at Johnson Matthey and treasurer at the California Hydrogen Business Council, prior to joining Aldrin's company.
On January 20, Aldrin took to Twitter and announced his fourth marriage, expressing that the couple was "as excited as eloping teenagers". "On my 93rd birthday & the day I will also be honored by Living Legends of Aviation I am pleased to announce that my longtime love Dr. Anca Faur & I have tied the knot. We were joined in holy matrimony in a small private ceremony in Los Angeles & are as excited as eloping teenagers," Aldrin wrote while sharing beautiful pictures of his wedding.
