Who is Anastasiia Lenna? Ex-Miss Grand Ukraine joins fight against Russian invasion
Former Miss Grand Ukraine Anastasiia Lenna has reportedly joined the Ukrainian military to combat the Russian invasion. Lenna was Ukraine’s 2015 representative in the Miss Grand International beauty contest. After the Russian invation, Lenna has been sharing various Instagram stories addressing the crisis.
The beauty queen has 89.7k followers on Instagram, whom she has been addressing in her stories, calling for support and soliciting donations to the Ukrainian soldiers. In one of her stories, Lenna posted a picture of Ukrainian soldiers walking with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, referring to him as "a true and strong leader". Taking to Instagram, Lenna, posted pictures of herself armed with a gun, with the hashtags "#standwithukraine" and "#handsoffukraine".

Who is Anastasiia Lenna?
Anastasiia Lenna is a marketing and management graduate from Slavistik University in Kyiv. As per her Miss Grand International profile, Lenna "worked in Turkey - Bodrum, Ankara and Istanbul as pr manager". She says on the website that she began modelling and actingat the age of 13. "Whenever I go whatever I do I found place for shootings and acting. Now I listen only to myself and began my real job. Modelling, acting and TV screen are places where I belong. Now I successfully work in Istanbul as model, actress and TV host. I have my own music program 'World TOP 10' on television 'Genç TV'. I also know 5 languages and sometimes do big jobs as a translator," the website reads.
"God give me this beauty for the reason. So I use it all the ways. Acting and TV hosting. People listen to me and come to talk to me. Some kind of way I find a good relationships with everybody. Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a military operation in Ukraine in an attempt to "defend separatists in the east of the country". "I have made the decision of a military operation to protect the people of the Donbas separatist region," he said in a television statement. The President urged Ukrainian soldiers to lay their arms down and head home. Putin announced the military operation on Thursday, February 24, with explosions heard across Ukraine soon after. Ukraine's ambassador to the United Nations told the Security Council that Russian President Vladimir Putin had “declared war on Ukraine".
