Who went home in 'The Traitors' Season 4 tonight? Netflix shows sees massive betrayal
While it is true that friendships and alliances are remarkably brittle on 'The Traitors', the recently aired sixth episode of the show's fourth season proved that surviving on the show is more difficult than the contestants might assume. What initially began with an otherwise well-meaning alliance between the Faithfuls soon descended into chaos and mutual mudslinging that neither of the contenders could see coming. Here's a recap of everything that happened on the mid-season episode of the show hosted by Alan Cummings.
As reported by The Decider, 'Planning A Coup' kicked off with a game featuring protective shields that would ward off murder attempts for whoever picked one up, thus granting them immunity. However, in a rare display of solidarity, none of the players picked up a shield, since they believed that individual enterprise in this regard would ultimately hurt the chances of the group winning big together. As a result, $15,000 was added to the communal pot once the challenge was completed with no murders.
Elsewhere, the trio of Traitors, including Lisa Rinna, Candiace Dillard Bassett, and Rob Rausch, began scheming for their next prey after they learned that the Faithfuls had teamed up throughout the previous challenge. The obvious choice at this point was Colton Underwood, as he had previously threatened to murder Rinna. Underwood eventually turned out to be smart since he had been making the rounds and telling his compatriots, Raush and Dorinda Medley, that if something were to happen to him on the show, Rinna would be the one to blame.
It is a truism that one's appearance can often make or break a contestant on 'The Traitors', and that is exactly what happened to Ron Funches on the latest episode. Following breakfast the next day, Johnny Weir calculated that a total of eight consolidated votes would allow them to eliminate anyone of their choice, according to TVLine. The focus thereby shifted to Funches, who, despite being a Faithful, came across as a Traitor to many. His outspoken admonition of Porsha Williams didn't do much to help his case.
The moment of truth finally arrived at the round table when the contestants were called upon to cast their votes. Sensing that he was under grave suspicion from the rest of the players, Funches had to lay down his cards on the table. In a rare move hitherto unseen on the reality television show, Funches offered himself on a platter. He reasoned that if anyone were to be eliminated, then it must be him so that the greater good of the Faithful group can be reinstated. By the end of the episode, Funches had been eliminated by a total of six votes, with Rinna following close behind at five votes and Underwood getting four votes.
